IT rule change proposition
by Jayanta Bhattacharya on Dec 26, 2016 06:50 PM

All pay and allowances etc. should be treated as total income and to be taxed at low rates say 10/15/20 %. No separate benefit / relaxation / exemption to be given against any allowances etc. which will make the process simple and easier to file returns. The same will also not indulge people to make manipulations to claim exemptions but revenue of Govt. will also rise, reduce scope of corruption at all segments.

Taxes
by arungopal agarwal on Dec 26, 2016 11:52 AM

A small shop keeper or businessman, who does not have leaves, works for 12 hours in a day, does not have LTC, bonus, medical or retiral benefits, how he can be equated with salaried person, actually if tax slab is 2.5 lacs, his tax slab should be minimum 5.00 lacs. If Govt. does not remove this anamoly, he will continue with making so called in technical language black money.
Similarly for salaries persons too-tax rate and slab must be linked to inflation, why it should be prarogative of FM or budget. In budget the relief should either be bigger to it or we do not need such FMs, who are bent upon to punish common man each time.

An abundant revenue can be reaped from the rich.

Their abundance will hardly get affected.

But, please, for heaven's sake let the rest rest with a peace mind.

A citizen earning up to 10 lakhs a year hardly qualifies as a rich man.

He/she should not be bothered with the return.
