The government will demonitise all 100 and 50 rupee notes and bring in coins instead to prevent counterfeiting. Next they will authorize sangh parivar agencies to issue coupons (on the lines of sodexo coupons) which can be used for purchases,thereby giving sangh parivar unlimited resources of money to carry on their disastrous mission. Digital payment platform will also be promoted by pro-govt agencies. The aim will be to get maximum funds through these means to the select groups. RBI will be divested with currency management since government cannot be sure of yes men like the present governor always heading the central bank (occasionally, really merited scholars like Raghuram Rajan may get the top position when BJP is not in power). When another government comes to power, they will reverse all these measures so that Indian economy will become main subject in Harvard School of Economics).
I strongly believe the new 2000 currency will be taken out of the system either from January 1, 2017 or April 1, 2017.
Reason: The govt was very aware of the black money hoarders and what they would do with the new notes. They allowed them to do every possible thing to convert their old notes into new notes. Now, once they ban on the new 2000 notes and the banks are already under the close lens of the RBI and IT, those who have hoarded the new 2000 notes will go crazy for sure, and that's how the entire black money is brought to its minimum value!
As for the honest tax payers, there will surely be relief from the Income Tax effective from "April 1, 2018" on-wards, as there are lots of dues to be collected from the already filed returns and paid back to the same.

Once bitten twice shy. No big shark will keep money in 2000 denomination. Either they will convert it to 100s and 50s (even if it occupies more space). That could be one of the reasons why these denomination notes are not freely available.

Bro, do you still belive that demonitization has effected the big sharks in any way? don't u think that theyr millions of black money is lying somewhere outsie India? The only negative impact is on commoners like us, nobody else has been effected!

well sai bro! with things happening in our country now, anything n everything is possible!
nothing wrong in asking to deposit all notes at one go. this is to catch whoever have been doing this exchange business for a commission.if it is legal money the person should have deposited earlier or he can deposit it now also by giving a satisfactory answer. the govt is doing all it can to catch hold of thieves and hoarders and black marketers and thats why the rule keeps changing on a daily basis to corner the culprits. people who are complaining are the ones feeling cornered and the ones who are indulging in malpracitices.

Fill up forms for 5K Enquiry by two Bank Officials & if he is convinced then meet a third official - all for 5k. All these when only 10 % of the ATMs across India are operational and dispensing only 2k Notes. RBI & GOI have gone crazy. Everybody agrees that demonitization is good but it is poorly planned ( was it planned at all ) & abysmally implemented. Highly quixotic

Luckily, RBI has withdrawn the restriction on 5k deposit in respect of KYC compliant Bank A/cs. Some wisdom at last. RBI had to do this as FM had (unwittingly) taken a contrary position on this in public and RBI has to save his face. What a shame ?
The norms of RBI left and supervision on banks are not in control. Govt. taken good decistion but failed in implimenting while showing wholes to exchange the money from old notes.
