Note ban-Venezuela
by anil sharma on Dec 14, 2016 11:29 PM  | Hide replies

We have had note ban in Venezuela also, but here in Venezuela we do not have people like the people in India. The opposition in India is wailing as if it has been looted. In our opinion opposition in India has looted the general public since independence. Venezuela has taken a cue from India, but the reaction of the opposition in Venezuela has been of being ashamed of themselves as against that of being brazenly arrogant.

The reason of Note ban in Venezueala is different. It is due to high inflation.how you know the people and opposition are not opposing it.The ban came just three days back.Half of the Venezeula is controlled by the Drug Mafia..Dont shoot your mouth before understanding things

Aftermath of Demonitization
by t prasad on Dec 14, 2016 08:32 PM  | Hide replies

Though the intent was good, the execution has failed the Govt. Since, the operation has to be in secrecy, it was not informed to many and the RBI has not been involved with confidence and they were not in a position to plan accordingly. The most interesting part of this whole operation is that no one is sure how many of 1000's and 500's notes are in circulation. The amount declared so far is with RBI and amount with other banks have not reached RBI

well planned 86 to 14 ratio of High to small DN
by R ponnabalam on Dec 14, 2016 06:31 PM  | Hide replies

We average Indians can outsmart the well laid out plans of the Govt.by standing in queue(nothing illegal or unethical sincerely ,it is just doing a casual labour job for an earning of Rs.300 for our livelihood as we always do regularly ) for others to convert or deposit HDNs, pay salary in advance, take signature, but record it after say 2 or 3 months, hoard Rs,2000 notes in bulk and the like. Our planning skills are phenomenal that our financial establishment that would compare itself in pedigree with World bank, IMF has arranged our currencies in the ratio of 86 to 14% which may be different from that in any other country. Our capable establishment knows that availability of HDN in huge quantities is a pass port to easy transportation of Black Money and to encourage Black Money economy and anybody would get frightened to demonetize when he comes to know that 86% of value of notes in SD are to be printed. If he dares still to print in big number it can be easily understood that things like demonetization is in the offing. No body who maintained this 86 to 14 ratio are coming forward and justifying the rationale; instead they are blaming that demonetization had been ill planned not as wellplanned like the 86 to14 ratio of High to small DN to thwart any attempt at demonetization R.PONNAMBALAM

Do these guys in the Parliament understand that digital payments are the easiest thing hackers find to hack ?. Are the apps secure ?. NO. Do you think the gateways are fool proof ?. No. Phishing, skimming and what not can happen over a digital payment. I have a personal experience of a Bank ( I wouldn't like to name it as its a reputed one). They used my funds to make my own payments without informing me and later when I questioned them as to how they did without my knowledge, they sent a vegetable bag as a free gift to pacify me. This is at a Bank level how about digital transactions ?. Who can track and who can force a legal action on a digital transaction ?. Do we have a legal system in India that addresses Digital payment laws ?. No. Good move of demonetization, bad at implementation. In a Country like India change cannot happen overnight, it has to be incremental.

How India's note ban is unlike any ever seen
by Ram Niwas on Dec 14, 2016 05:36 PM  | Hide replies

Import of printed notes will cause heavy load on foreign exchange . Already Govt must have imported lot of paper for printing these new notes. It is a sheer case of mismanagement and wrong planning . Still Govt. spokesmen are issuing statements to the contrary. They are not aware of public apathy. I donot think this Govt can do anything better at this stage otherwise that will damage the reputation of Hon. Mr Modi and the Govt.
