KG-D6 has become rather a political olympics.

As Brajeshwar has pointed out the government or rather the government servant in charge of a particular portfolio, be that a PM, a minister or a bureaucrat of a highly superior rank, they are all always very keen to foster on all those being governed the impression to keep it in their mind who is the boss.

This kind of demonstrative attitude is apparent from a peon to a PM.

They take every opportunity to unsheathe their superiority.

KG-D6 is one of such sports.

Impractical decision

Reliance has to take the blame for the situation and their inability to foresee a situation when oil and gas prices are at an all time low in the global market. When this contract was signed, I guess, Reliance did not estimate the steep fall in prices. Hence, they might have gone slow on production. While from the company's perspective, this may have been a smart decision, but rather than go for arbitration, they should have made a revised offer to the government on the basis of prevailing realities. I guess they thought that they could influence the government's decision with their clout. But, kudos to the government for not buckling down.

ill informed comments are not right. Get the facts right, first. its a game of one-upmanship between business groups and govt. is seen favoring one against another. Everything is not black and white. There are greys also always.
