FDI

I do agree to Dr. Mahajan openly.
And yes we can't compare with china, and UPA might have different policy, terms and conditions to apply FDI.
I think inexperienced Jaitly-n-modi team, forget to put our condition.
See how time is changed, 1942 we struggled in "Quit India', and 2016 we invited them.

But a

I don't expect a Pakistani to agree with anything that Modi does and economics is definitely beyond you. We are a poor country because of the policies of Nehru and Indra. Read about the other countries and learn how they have progressed and why we have been left behind.

The loud admirers must check back with the man if he is embarrassed with the unlimited love and affection showered on him.

Swadeshi Jagran Manch is a nationalistic organization, thought BJP will protect the traders and local businesses, the core support group for the party. Worse, Congress won't block or paralyze the parliament like Sushmaji and Jaitleyji did for their cause !

Zamorin gave permission to the white man to do business.
by chanakya maurya on Aug 10, 2016 07:42 PM  | Hide replies

The white man enslaved Bharatvarsh.

Transformed the culture.

They are innovative.

Now they are coming again this time to the saffron king.

They together will decide the destiny of Bharatvarsh.

Because the "natives" are neither innovative nor industrious enough to grown on their own like the Japanese.

And their political bosses and the establishment are both corrupt which makes it easy for them to enslave any nation with such a "wonderful" environment.

If the post-independence rulers of India really studied and followed at least some principles of the business policies the Zamorins followed in those times, India would not have been in this state today. The submissive and meek nature of the average Indian mind is at play everywhere. We need to think how this mindset came into being and how it can be turned around. Think what is good for on the basis of your need- not on what someone else have taught you to believe. Only then Bharatvarsh's culture can be transformed. You don't need to look up to your political boss to change things at your home.

dangers of unemployment
by Bharat Kumar on Aug 10, 2016 05:26 PM  | Hide replies

FDI might usher in massive development of infrastructure and industries. Industrial growth isn't always accompanied by a growth in jobs, that model is outdated, with automation a necessity and not a nicety.

So, the Govt will collect more taxes and pay doles to those who don't get employed. If you thought NREGA was bad, the worse is yet to come - either more dole, or a revolt on the streets.

Amazon, Apple and others are being given free lands in states like Telangana. The ministers like the additional pennies they get as taxes and establish a feudal network for their families with the foreign principals. No different from a British empire offering protection to the princely states. Tell me if not, how are they different ?

The story is no different with the bureaucrats and politicians bending backwards to get their wards fellowships, scholarships and jobs abroad, in return for the permission to open shops in the country.

One would then ask, did we really gain anything from the independence, except noisy neighbors and fighting between ourselves? Do we have a gameplan to rule the world?

we need to come out of negative mentality. FDI is good as it allows additional money in the hands of Indian companies, who can buy better machines or expand their business or start giving better pay. it is not always good to play victim all the time. if FDI is used for crony capitalism that anyways must be controlled.

Read Correctly as Foreign Direct Invasion- NDAs failure
by SUBRAMANIAN VANJIAPPAN on Aug 10, 2016 04:14 PM  | Hide replies

What unfortunate is this Modi's NDA to follow wrong policies of UPA due to Jeitly and others in govt. Modi's success get dimished on economic front only due this. Start from failed in getting back Black money from Swiss banks, Land acquisition grabbing act , DBTL in LPG gas and taxing PF withdrawal etc
To coverup policy mess, this FDI made as an indicator of economic development by so called economist who are very blind in to basics Bharat/Rural. People know very well that FDI is nothing but Foreign Direct Invasion supported by Govt to through away its own people. It is childish to get praise for FDI. If at all these managers of indian economy would like to get praise for foreign echange inflow they should praise our NRIs only.
Our NRI remittances are 1000 times more that that of so called FDIs . So praise all our brothers and sisters in Foreign land suffering much to send money here. Only savings led capital formation and state investment in Agri /irrigation /Road Rail infra project will save us

day dreamer. if NRI invested in India then why they left India for charity purpose. dont expect any funds from NRI but definately foreigners for their own benefit and loot India. this is the reality of FDI. Our Hom;ble PM think they are giving respect in foreign soil but it is insulting to indians instead of developing indian industry we are begging for FDI. If any one study deeply of FDI they will know what exactly this.
