As some readers have commented, the introduction of faster trains must not come by removing those which provide scenic and 'historical' journeys to tourists on sight-seeing across quaint and beautiful small townships linked by traditional railways.
After reading the title, I thought the article might be something to do with the mystery of a missing train. There is no mystery and no missing train in this article, it is just a junk of some armature writer.
I never wanted the train journey to Ooty to end. Now wanted a bullet train from Ooty to Mettupalaiyam at the foot hills, we should be able to reach in 10 minutes flat. Sad though we cannot savour the scenery.
There was an old malayalam movie No.20 Madras Mail which deals with the subject of a single murder that takes place in the train plying between Trivandrum and Madras, starred by Mamooty & Mohanlal. The movie which was released some where in mid 80's was a huge success, and therefore this is nothing new to Indian Cinema.
