by Parthasarathy Krishna on Apr 21, 2016 11:29 AM  | Hide replies

Even today the bank is doing a mistake by not accepting Mallyas offer of 4000 cr!! Looks like Ed n banks and other agencies are interested in penalising n punishing Mallya!! The object of bank is to collect money that's lent to Mallya? Sbi n bank willing to go for litigation but not collect the Capitol? Malla for all u know will stay for ever in uk like the IPL Modi?

THE GREAT IUNDIAN BUSINESSMEN

\" Duster daman & Sister palan \" ie Punishing the wicked & saveguarding & supporting the Law abiding Citizen is ssupposed to be the main job of a King/Administrator. But alas !!! , in India , it is just the reverse . Every body is concerned for giving loan to so called businessmen ( or chits ?) at cheaper rates , so that they can purchase land , put up an industry , self & relatives become Directors with mind boggling income & commissions , takes all unethical ways to exploit the workers & avoid payment of taxes & repayment of loans & then declare the industry as sick & flee with huge ill gotten money - with full support from the vRich & Powerful . It is absolutely unethical to snatch / deprive the Poor law abiding citizens by reducing the Interest rate from their lifelong hard earned savings in PF , PPF , FD etc - to serve the tax & loan evaders .

Kingfisher & Air India

It is not Mallya alone who is responsible for KFA mess. The employees (of KFA & Air India) are equally responsible. If KFA is grounded, why not Air India whose employees, especially Pilots, looted the country for so long. If any company is not functioning what right these KFA employees have to demand salaries for not working? No KFA or Air India employee will like straight talk anyway.

Dilip - If there is no work then the KF management should ask the employees to resign after settling their dues. Employees cannot just resign without their dues being settled and if there is no work it is not the responsibility of the employees. Your argument seems like there was work to be done but the employees did not do it

Very realistic analysis

But the problem is there is no one who can listen in all segments you mentioned like Media, Bank, Govt, RBI.

The point is they are thinking for themselves, in simple terms Narrow minded. If something wrong happens to someone my my action, let it be, what I like I will do. This attitude is very dangerous.

He is a decent person and as said in the article Banks and Govt. should not view him as a criminal. Govt. and Banks should create an atmosphere to sit across with him and sort out things. Govt. have earned a lot of money as tax from him. He has provided employment to thousands.

mess up created by media on King Fisher
by Dhruveshwar Nath on Apr 20, 2016 02:01 PM  | Hide replies

Well analysed Mr. Kalyanraman. At least some body has spoken sense. Commercial Banks were never meant to do long term lending. There were separate institution for this such as IDBI, ICICI, IFCI etc. By converting them to commercial Banks, and commercial Banks to Term lenders, expertise at both end has been killed. Media has created so much hype that a criminal case has been made out of civil liability. By arresting and putting man behind bar ,one finishes any chance of recovery.Sahra group is an example. Let media sight a single case where recovery of any sizable amount was made by criminal case. Credit lines were extended to King Fisher after view being taken on ability of management running an existing business( United Breweries) generating over Rs 3000 crore annual cash surplus. If there was no melt down of economy in 2007/08 fate might have been different.

Melt down of economy??? Hmn!!!! How come that did not affect his personal economy and his ability to splurge and invest for publicity rather than try to save KFA?
