PMs visit
by Shaktibhadra Shastry on Sep 26, 2015 12:23 PM  | Hide replies

How ever much PM Modi may plead for investment in India and talk about less hurdles in doing so, the income tax authorities, Central Excise & Customs authorities etc are just the same old bandicoots with the old mentality bent on harassing investors with all sorts of taxes/fines. Their mindset has not changed till date and they are sadists who harass the ordinary citizen. I see no scope in all these efforts

Who has framed the rules and regulations and instructed to act based on rules. No department acts on their own. Here the question does not arise at all as Old mentality.

Its true that efforts are being taken by our PM to revive India and place it on global platform. however how do you change attitude of persons at ground level. unless this changes things cannot improve. chg is required at root level.

POVETY, HUNGER, CORRUPTION

These are not something which are done once and forgot latter. It is an on-going activity. Modi knows that. He or for that matter any government cannot bring a one time solution. It is a target that keeps on moving and changing all the time. So for those who comment, asking modi to quit travelling , should realize, the more the investment, more the growth of jobs, more lower end educated people get uplifted. When this happens what is left is the unskilled group and they will be reskilled/cross-skilled for a job that suits them.

Remember those famous words...
"You give them some fish, you solve the hunger for a day.. You teach them to fish, you solve the hunger for a life time."

That is Modi mantra. And I believe he is on the right track. For those who want to live on dole-out-food (a.k.a eat with-out work), I tell you now, your days are over and there is going to be no relief for you... WHY SHOULD YOU GET A RELIEF!!!????

Modi will have to control first his FM and then the babus under him, for retrospective tax, craze for new illegocial taxation which only leads to litigation, for eg government land on lease for industry, now in many states the DM has come up with a novel idea to generate revenue which is tax the lease rent itself at 300% existing value. the industry time will be spent in explaining the foolishness of this proposal. Another is tax on so called open land given to the industry. The FM has been making empty promises since the last one year and done nothing. He does not know his job being only a 300 cr earning lawyer. So someone who known economics and 'where it hurts' wil ahve to be brought in. Subramaniam Swamy seems to be the best
