FAKE PRODUCTS
by ps suresh on Sep 08, 2015 11:57 AM  | Hide replies

AS CLAIMED BY THE ABOVE ARTICLE, THERE ARE PLENTY OF FAKE PRODUCTS IN OUR MARKET, BUT ARE THE AUTHORITIES FULLY COMMITTED TO WEEDING OUT THE FAKE PRODUCTS, THE ANSWER IS A BIG NO, WHY BECAUSE THEY ARE THE BIGGEST REVENUE FOR THE CORRUPT AUTHORITIES. WHY NOT RAID AND SEAL THE PLACE WHERE THEY ARE BEING PRODUCED. SOME TIME BACK THERE WAS AN ANNOUNCEMENT NOT TO USE PLASTIC CARRY BAGS. WHY NOT THE GOVERNMENT IMPOSE A BAN ON THE PRODUCTION OF THE BAGS AT ALL.

(1) Ban on plastic bags not enforced strictly due to the strong lobby influencing the govt.(2)Exorbitant high price or MRP of FMCG goods give rise to fake products. There is wide gap between cost of mfrng & MRP,if these FMCG companies reduce the MRP to reasonable level mfrng of FAKE or COUNTERFEIT products will not be viable.

It appears that the executives in the
companies are giving a closed eye to these malpractices- they sim-ply allow the goods to be moved out from factory clandestinely to avoid payment of excise duty and sell in the market at a cheaper rate
