Having purchased Big Cinemas and now the Chandigarh Mall it is showing its appetite to be a big player in the Malls and Multiplex sector. If well managed it could give a strong competition to PVR group of cinemas. The Cinema producers and distributors require to take note of this development if the multiplexes are held by two or three groups then the movie releases will soon be at the call taken by these Multiplex chains. Also the next logical step would be that these chains will be Cinema distributors, producers and financers and soon control the highly fragmented industry.
