The so called disastrous Demonetization done without proper computer simulation, analysis, remonetization, identifying cash transactions but legal ones,all needing a sound economic wisdom which Arun jaitley lacks.Similar is the slipshod,badly planned GST proving again that Arun jaitley is a very wrong man for FM .His inaction on black money for so must have been a good reason to get rid of arun jaitley.One does not know why Modiji is continuing with this ignorant man as FM.The net result of GST is increase in tax to the common man by 4%,to enable our netas for more foreign visit, more first class unlimited flying, wining and dining at 5 star hotels, with lip service paid to the common man.If BJP & MODI want to reverse this tail spin remove arun jaitley and give FM job to Dr.Swamy before implementing the bad GST.
This a hype created by Modi n his govt. the needy of land by the industry can be taken care by themselves!! Why Modi govt or any body to intervene?? The GST again created a hype that it dropped dead with its own weight! Nobody understood or knew the after effects, only it landed in blame games between BJP n Cong!! End of the day it appeared Modi lost the battle !! Modi should concentrate on other burning issues but he is faraway?? Touring n talking of various apps of govt n tweet n face book etc!! Lot happening butwewill have to see the result?
Many highly developed countries have GST system of taxation which is simple to administer and easy to pay. In contrast, Indian GST is a complex piece of legislation with many if's and buts, many exemptions and many interpretations. There is no redressal method in current bill proposed by the govt. GST rate also has not yet been worked out and we see govt trying to create deliberate confusion by saying it will be 15% but all pointers to 25/27% range. Congress wants it capped at 18% constitutionally and govt does not want to lose petroleum, tobacco revenues to GST. GST also is silent on other measures like anti-dumping duty treatment, credit of GST paid etc.... Real trade bottlenecks are on highways, ports and airports where things do not move due to vested interests, GST does not address this issue. Octroi revenue of cities also unclear after GST. Credit for currently held stock also big question mark. Hope GST bill is discussed threadbare before passing and implementation.
A very well written Article. This has brought clarity about GST. I wish Government takes note of these aspects in positive manner before pressing for this Bill.

What made you to give him one lakh? Is it in cash ? If it is so, then how you have so much cash with you? Is it counted for income tax purpose? Moreover , it seems the give ande take purpose of yours seems criminal in nature , otherwise, why you are silent?Give all details to Mr Modi who heads CBI and considering his reputation , he will definitely do justice to you.
It is a system to collect tax at the point of consumption than at the point of manufacturing. It is a novel thinking which has been adopted by some countries of world for a good result. We could have got it before but due to idiocy of BJP it is delayed and Congress should not adopt same foolishness to delay its implementation further.Every system has some negativity but prudent administrator has to see what is the overall benefit.
When economic experts of international reputation talk about merits about GST, we should not listen to lallu-pillu CAs views. The potential is to create jobs in millions over a period of time.
