Yes and why not did you even read the subject - "Why Modi's financial schemes are struggling" and ironically read the whole article he is downsizing one of MODI's scheme by comparing it with other two of his schemes .... what a joke
As simple as that, the schemes have just started. After 65 years of utter distrust of the Govt, people finally have a Govt that is really well meaning, and nationalists, and working for 125 crore Indians, all as one. But then, cry babies who have done nothing in life but merely write to fill pages of newspapers, have hardly anything to do these days, as their carping is sounding outdated, and results will show up soon. See the power of Jan Dhan, see the power of the JAM, the power of subsidy thru DBT. The power of the Insurance schemes for the poor ! Sorry Basu man, they are not for rich n mental libtards. But they are working where they are supposed to work and targeted.

The government is just giving chocolates to please the common man. Chocolates will work for only some time, like Bihar elections. Government should formalize long goals like developing infrastructure, employment etc. Previous Vajpayee government set long targets like Golden quadrilateral roads project, Linking of various rivers etc. Even after 10 years, people are talking of vajapayee government because of these infrastructure projects. Just bachha schemes will not develop the country. Since one year NDA government came to power no new infrastructure projects started or anounced, Just only giving Bada Bashan, nothing elese.

Whatever schemes are launched they are to get money, for whom only for govt. servants and politicians just to pay hefty DA linked pension which does not increase any GDP. Govt. first know to cut its coat as per finance available not by way of extracting from tax payers everything.

Your point is valid, the problem is - it is a new Govt, and the entitlement culture of the Babus is so well entracnhed in India, thanks to the leftist, bureaucracy-friendly policies of the Congressis and the leftists who have ruled for 60 years, that it will be a tough task to take the monster of Govt babus headlong so soon. There are better priorities for the Govt to focus on. The 7th Pay COmmission was a disease this Govt inherited from the super-corrupt MMS-Sonia regime, who thought giving the doles will get them the votes of the Babus !
