WHAT WAS BJP DOING WHEN THEY WERE IN THE OPPOSITION? THEY WERE OPPOSING THIS SAME GST BILL WHICH WAS PUT FORTH BY THE CONG. WHERE WAS THEIR LOVE FOR THE NATION AT THAT TIME?
Poor farmers are feeding all Indians and need of businessmen who are exporting. They only need the support price that is linked with input cost but shameless government says it is not possible in an affidavit to supreme Court but is ready to go all out who have taken loan of more than 3 lakh crore and not returning to bank,the fellows who raise price of daily requirement including medicine.All including present government only thinks of money money and money.

is as much a half measure as any other that governments have taken before.
If the arrival of the GST was really supposed to ease up ways of doing bona fide business, then it ought to have mandated a single tax rate across the country with far fewer exemptions than are allowed now or proposed to be retained.
What a joy it would be for most businesses as well as commoners to see all the inter state check posts in the country dismantled and all its officials asked either to go home or take up *less lucrative* assignments ???
Only a few sectors such as road transport might regret such a law.

even though the bill appears to be flawed as mentioned in the article, they want the GST bill to be passed only to boost some local sentiment. for common people, let them go to dogs.

work without bill and not depositing tax to govt will be minimise, high revenue will serve the public
