same govt policies as UPA
by kieran dsouza on Nov 20, 2015 10:44 PM  | Hide replies

this govt should have scrapped all salary commissions indefinitely until a sense of work ethics is inculcated in these babus most of whom require heavy palm greasing to do any sort of work. if 1,00,000 crore is going to be allocated for merely salaries then we are headed for Greece type economic bankruptcy sooner than later. it seems the party in power has forgotten the people who voted it to power and is catering to 1% elites.

fixed income earners and non-pensioners in pvt sector face a double whammy of lower FD interest rates.

third stab in the back by meaningless cess like Swach Bharat cell and increase in service tax by 2% to 14%

the worst part is, this increase will be followed by all PSUs, State Govts, and all other govt. organisations, leaving a very big gap between govt n pvt sector.

My dear Friend do not play politics in the life of defence personal if u r pro BJP or PRo congress,or pro for any other party it is your personal, from decades defence personal are fighting for OROP, when Modi is giving packages to states for 75,000 cr or 80,000 cr just to win elections, you should have sense why they are not allocating 12,000cr for defence personal & families who have served for the Nation, you people will not understand the problems faced by the defence personal, you visit once in your life time to siachin or leh ladak in extreme conditions and stay their for just one week they you will realize how they do their duties, then you will shut you mouth and will not post such a useless comment about defence personal, once again i request all the friends that do not use politics or make political gain think that they are fighting for their rights after retirement, they have not done any strike while in duties, please join untidily and let us tell to the Government that the demand of defence personal be addressed as promised and think that senior person sitting at janthar manthar is not only fighting for their self but for thousand of brothers & their families

Your comment is unwarranted. Pay Commission is set up by Central Government every 10 years. The fifth pay commission recommendation was implemented by Vajpayee government. Why do you unnecessarily drag Rahul and Sonia here? You seem to be a paid agent of BJP who is always vomiting hatred against individual. You will be thrown away by all government staff in the coming election, be careful.

Govt. should not end up only hiking salaries also should consider implementing ways to make the govt. employees do their duties properly instead of roaming around, sitting on files and sleeping in office.

If employees will nation will be corapt free and will be $5 trillion economy by 2017. Or else employees will be named by we the people as traitars and terasts of nation. You employees have the power to transform linke nobady. Show to the nation that employees are asset of nation, at least now. In telugu movee POKIRI heeroo tells fello polse offcr that at least work for one day. Similarly employees pl at least work from 2day henestly, sincerely and for the sake of mother Land.

Employees are willing to work well. But your elected representatives are not allowing them to work accoring to rules. They are corrupt and they make the government employees also corrupt.Even the judiciary support them. If an ordinary man commit a petty offence he will be punished immediately. If politicians, rich people and corporate big shots commit offences they are allowed to escape by using the holes of law. You are making hue and cry when a government servant get pay hike after 10 years.

If you do not pay well you will not get quality people. Because the current policy makers are not best the govt. system is inefficient. A few by mistake joined became corrupt to compensate talent. Central govt. fellows should get notably high pay to make the service attractive. Corruption should be treated mercilessly so that people do not dare to become corrupt.

Employees strength of Nation and also Threat
by on Nov 20, 2015 02:10 PM  | Hide replies

We are a country of 125 crore people. The size of Government we need is enormous. But the issue is it has to be honest to the core. If One crore plus of employees make honest and sincere contributions nation will be a 5 trillon dollar economy and if these 1 crore employees woork and deliver in the truest spirit and charctar of public servants nation's GDP growth of GDP will be 10% any day. If this happens salaries, wages, incomes of all in informal, private sector will be at least three times of what they are now. So for nation of 125 crore Govt employees are strength as well as threeaat

What is required is to put an end to PAy Commissions and make the Govt emplyees work 24x7 and recruit more people to cover 24x7,thus increasing employment and gOvt presence throughout the year. There is so much to do.

Honesty of Employees makes India $5 trillion economy by 2017
by on Nov 20, 2015 12:25 PM  | Hide replies

Pay hikes etc are not at all the issue as for as state or Central Government employees are concerned. The main isues are: 1. Are these employees fit the definition of public servants 2. Are these employees put their heart and soul into what they are paid for (Village level clerks to S&T, Research, Academic to IAS, IPS etc? 3. Are these employees honest enough to be Govt employees 4. Do these employees respect public and their customers 5. Look at departments like Tax, Police, RTA, Excise, Municipalities, Revenue, Registrar Offices, etc. 6. If Govt employees are honest enough the size of B.money will come down by at least 2 lakh crore rupes per year. If petty officials and clerks and field inspectors kind of people put their heart and soul for public and serve public and be honest at least 80% 0f public that is 80 crore people will be happy and that will increase our GDP growth by at least 3% and our economy will be 5 trillion dollars in just two years. So the issue is honest contribution and not pay hikes. Once economy grows every citizen will benefit by more than what employees benefit. India is safaring from kanser called corapsion by these emps from village level to Cab Sec. Look at Kejr ji. He is great example of this kanser.

Sameer we common man wants equality viz a viz govt. servants, whole country works but govt. servants enjoy all holidays plus about 50 leaves in different form plus saturday and sunday, they have DA linked pension and Maharaja like perqs. which no one gets.
We all common man oppose such increase as it is taxing us all. If Modi Govt. does not, no difference in between them and congress. We must throw all such govts. who are anti common man.

Rightly said, who is going to listen. All Govt. servants are vote banks, hence which ever political party comes to power they have to treat these public servants with kid gloves. PM Modi has now had first hand experience of this in New Delhi elections. He brought discipline in the depts. where Minister to Chaprasi had to report on time and leave on time due to biometric facilities in the offices. This restricted the govt. servants from going out on private duties & activities & to an extent reduced corruption. Hence they reacted by voting AAP to power in New Delhi & throwing out BJP. Hence the need of the hour and the balance 1 Crore population has to suffer and pay increased taxes to fill the belly of the Govt. Servants. Who are we to argue but to bend to slavery of a kind.

Government should be a model employer. It follows rules and regulations with regards to fixing the pay and allowances of its employees. All other employers should follow the footsteps of the model employer. If the performance of a government servant is not upto the mark, then, there rules to take action against them. All government servants are not corrupt or lazy. Don't make an issue of it. Pay Commissions are headed by retired Supreme Court judges and highly qualified intellectuals. Do you think their recommendations are wrong?

7th Pay commission
by arungopal agarwal on Nov 20, 2015 11:54 AM  | Hide replies

Modi Govt. is also pushing India into Greece like situation, Govt. servants have maximum perqs. comparing to normal private sector people, plus biggest lacuna is DA linked pension, no one gets except govt. servants, this is eating tax payers money, at least none of the tax payer is ready for it, or the whole EPFO scheme for others must be converted in DA linked pension after retirement instead of one time payment. This is robbery by govt. servants and politicians as they both get it.
Today Govt. servants are 50 lacs pensioners are 60 lacs, in army regulars are 13 lacs and pensioners are 25 lacs, in rly earning by passenger trains are 35000 crores pension payment is 40000 thousand crore.
We must all raise our voice for such loot, injustice and liability on all common man.
