SUSPEND VDA
by SH on Nov 16, 2015 04:13 PM

Suspend the concept of VDA which is spent in huge amount on the basis of consumer price Index in payment of salary Only to Govt employees whereas it affects adversely and equally all Govt employees ,Non -govt employees and self employed persons as well.So why not it is spent on markert mechanism to control the CPI itself.Why Govt should behave step motherly to others.

Privatize gov work, minimize reservations, promote English
by on Nov 16, 2015 03:51 PM

To improve the conditions in India;

1. Privatize gov work as far as possible as in USA,
2. Minimize reservations: ST plus SC 20% and OBC 20%. Remove wealthy criminals and MCs like Jats, Yadavs, Patels, Modis, Jaiwals, etc from OBC list.

3. Promote English more aggressively.

Pay and Performance
by Prabhakar Waghodekar on Nov 16, 2015 03:34 PM

There is no sound wage policy in India. In organized sectors including academic institutes, State Corporation, ZPs, etc., pay is not linked with performance. Nay, I tempted to state that there is complete lack of accountability, no job evaluation, no work audit, no output measurement, no performance appraisal, generating NPAs largely. In fact, the Pay Commission takes crae of Civil Services who feel that such services be better paid than that of IT sector, where performance is the only base, no stipulated work-hours, no job security for low performer.
Whereas, in non-organized sectors, 80-90% of workforce, there is a complete mess. I have seen many labors on construction sites purchasing sugar of Rs. 1, tea Rs 0.5, milk Rs 2 for guest tea. Industry productivity ranges 30-50%, public sector 05-15%. In an academic institute/public sector a peon gets Rs 20000 and Principal/Divisional Commissioner Rs 2 Lakhs pm. Where is the social responsibility and equitable distribution of wealth? The pension and salary of regular employees are almost the same. Who will bell the cat?

Basic need
by Shyam Sunder on Nov 16, 2015 03:20 PM

More important is it to reinvent what is employment before going for performance appraisal. It is not just starting factories and shops that we create employment. To sell, we need to produce and most important produce is agricultural and farm sector ones. Science should concentrate on producing more healthy food items to contain prices and ensure good health instead of throwing chemicals for growing more. If we make agriculture a real manufacturing process, bring in changes like co-operative farming and change the cropping season and pattern in line with changing seasons, it would be better.
