Those employed knew about risks when the joined.

You cannot portray Management as culprits and employees as victims.
Managements should follow all the laws while laying off staff, that's it. Those employed at these firms knew very well they were in a bubble industry which burst everytime funds run out.
Ecommerce has destroyed value more than what it has created in India so far. Yet press idolizes them goes ga ga over them and why not? they are biggest advertisers today in print media, on websites and also on TV.

There is no seasoned, sincere, dedicated and committed HR not nly in India but the whole world.
They are the pillars not only to get show exit to efficient and forward thinking coworkers, but also ensure they break their family stability also.
The reasoons is simple ......without knwing anything they teach/get things as per their wish and whims....
Please bring Personnel Manager (PM)back......all HR course sh0uld be replaced PM course.

Huge employment potential in infrastructure & core sectors.
by Ramendra Sinha on Nov 06, 2015 11:00 AM

India has very poor Basic Infrastructure - Road, Rail, Pipelines, Port, Waterways. Developing these can only create large number of direct & indirect employment as Basic Infrasructure is the foundation for growth of Core Sector - Mines, Steel, Cement, Oil & Gas, Power & Telecom. Then there is a demand for Real Estate & Manufacturing followed by Service Sector and related Services like IT, Outsourcing etc.
We are creating Service Sectors and Outsourcing Jobs without developing our Basisc Infrastructure and Core Sectors. The result is poor Demand and layoffs as running a business purely on borrowed money is non-feasible & non-sustainable.

This was bound to happen. The way startups are receiving investments without experience or proving anything, this is destined. eCommerce sector is highly overInvested. When the source of funds dry up, the founders have some crazy explanations ready too.

Employ people, raise funds, capitalize n it, transfer it safely t0 the management staff accounts...................showyour staff exit.
It started with harshad Mehta.....followed by Satyam raju......these are small self interested, vested players. Nation suffered n past, nw small middle class are facing the ordeal.....
