Publice transport infrasture in Mumbai is very bad
by Sanjay Tomar on Nov 15, 2015 02:13 PM

Traveling in Mumbai on public transport & private transport is worst than any other city in Mumbai. Traveling in train is worst prone to get accident but BJP government not solving the problem only discussion is going on to improve road & transport infrastructure the improvement they are doing have no use unless they fill the demand and supply gap completely is very high. Only making fool by few improvement in road , Metro, Train transport have very little use not giving relief to the people of Mumbai. Big project need to start on ground level not only on paper to solve the demand supply problem in all transport modes in Mumbai

Dirty politics and laziness of people is spoiling Mumbai. It may happen, once a dream city will be dominated by mini metros and Mumbai will lost its past glory.

Locusts
by bakchod on Nov 04, 2015 02:34 AM

What has happened to Mumbai is same as what happens to a field of crops after a swarm of locusts lands on it.

The field is destroyed and the locusts move on to the next field.

Delhi's time is also coming. Be prepared for the locusts to arrive. Mumbai has been a far better city than Delhi for the first 60 years of Independence.

Let's see Delhi's fate in another 60 years.

Bombay will never lose charm
by abhinav jain on Nov 03, 2015 10:37 PM

Because Bollywood, stock exchange, TV serials, etc are the industries running in Mumbai. The amount of jobs and influx of people to try out it brings is huge.

The night life exists in Mumbai unlike any where else in India.

Coffee ciggs are available on cycle at every few metres distance. People outside can think what they want. Till Bollywood exists here, big money to spend and encash exists here.

Politicians see through window to blame people and people see through window to blame politicians . No body sees the mirror to see where is the blame . Not only Mumbai , India will loose identity if undeserved things go unchecked by the leaders in power .

Yeah got you. You are saying appeasement should continue.

Any topic and you have to blame Modi for it. Don't think your snide comments have not been noted.

Manohar Rao
Mumbai City
by Manohar Rao on Nov 03, 2015 08:16 PM

I have lived in Mumbai for around 10 years. It has given me a lot, my engineering degree, my first job and so on. I used to love Mumbai a lot, I still do but somewhere down the line I lost interest in staying there. Mumbai caters to need of everybody, a person earning Rs 100/- per day and a person earning Rs 1000/- per day can both survive and enjoy themselves in Mumbai. But now it is crumbling, its drainage system which was built during Britishers time is unable to handle the present days drainage requirements. Its roads are in constant repair. No matter how many flyovers you construct, it can never ease the traffic of Mumbai.
I urge people to leave the city if you get the opportunity and let it breath.I left Mumbai not because I hate it but because I love it and beside the Mumbai crowd was eating into my psych.

Mumbai is too good, and the administration MMRDA and BMC worst
by sridhar nanagiri on Nov 03, 2015 07:53 PM

Mumbai is too diverse and lovely and its variety and multicultural is unparalleled. Now coming to worst administration part which is BMC and MMRDA. It took 9 years for worli flyover to be built in sea. They promised to complete it in 2 years. It took 5 years to build mumbai metro from andheri to ghatkapor which covers 1/50th area of entire mumbai. It was a reliance project I agree still they said mumbai administration and beaurocracy is pathetic and master in delaying paper work and multiple approval. At the same time Japan faced one of its worst earthquake in 2011 and in 2012 they rebuilt the entire city. This is discipline. If Japanase decide to do something they do it because they are most discipline people in world.
