Hats off and Best wishes
by srnvs san on Jul 28, 2015 11:25 PM

Shaliniji,

1. I admire you and hats off to you. Best wishes for the good work you are doing.

2. Let the government agencies work for you so that this can be scalable.

3. I spent part of time to volunteer activities. In the beginning I was doing alone. Later on I realized for these activities to scale i need to utilize/improve existing set-up/machinery.

4. Once again Kudos to you for your good work.

Ms Shalini's efforts.

It is awe inspiring to read the details That an accomplished lady has given up her cosy living in urban India just to take care of the tribal children in Odissa with language barrier apart from others.
I wish hher all success. More and more talented youth should come forward to tap the latent potential in our rural India.

Truly inspiring Shalini
by Jayaprakash Balan on May 26, 2015 03:49 PM

Its a truly inspiring life of Shalini and her thoughts to think of doing something for the society especially the rural world of India. Alas though we say there are abundant talent and the heart of India truly lies in villages and rural areas, they are bereft of any income for even survival or live a very unglamorous life due to the apathy shown by the Govt, due to which people flock cities rather than living a good life being in villages. Since due to our mindset, we believe life is true sense is all about money and luxury, nobody wants to remain or go to villages except rare breeds like Shalini. This is where Modi has failed. He wants to see a Shining India by making smart cities rather than smart villages. Why can't all the industrialists invest in villages rather than putting up their offices in crowded cities. For this Govt. should give whatever support they want so that the trend is reversed and people from cities go to villages searching for jobs and good life. Only then can India change.

Practically what she does is far better.
by sanjeev kumar on May 25, 2015 06:30 PM

Its is theoretically correct to say that money helps. the most that helps in such cause is not the money but the time. Time is limited to individuals. So, you have to choose between the same. whether you want to spend the time to make money and look to help for the cause with the money. but who will do the direct services with that money. you need again somebodies time to directly work for the cause. So, the lady has preferred her time contribution to the money contribution. It's her choice and I feel she has enough right make the choice. She is to be praised.

money offers better opportunities...

talent carry little weight if can't be used. Money is the biggest support to get the talent utilised though satisfied with what ever is available is equally big...
