Nobody learning a lesson from others
by Jayaprakash Balan on May 25, 2015 05:43 PM

Its a shame that apart from people no government or local bodies of any growing town is learning a lesson from the situation big metro cities of India has come to and as such though India is developing more and more growing cities we should also remember that we are only getting growing crowded and polluted cities like Bangalore and not good living cities.

Bangalore is a Desert now
by Desert Bangalore on May 23, 2015 05:37 AM

There was a Time in 1940's and 1950's that Bangalore was considered as a Pensioner's Paradise, Garden City, and other Good things also existed.

Now there are only Human beings everywhere and no trees or plants in most of the areas in Bangalore - All they need is Real Estate, Money and Deforestation and unhealthy developments.

No one cares about pollution in India. Indians even want their children to live in this filthy atmosphere.

BTM layout- perfect case of vehicular pollution
by gokula patra on May 22, 2015 05:53 PM

BTM layout is located adjacent to a highway which connects bangalore to most of south indian cities of kerala, tamilnadu and industrial hubs like electronic city, annekel, hosur . Due to this there is always a very high vehicular traffic mostly cabs, private buses and trucks . The mentioned pollution level is caused by these heavy vehicles as most of them especially the buses due to bad planning, have to enter inside the city either to majestic or other private bus stands within the city .The government can very well reduce this by shifting private and government bus stands from where today they are located in the center of city and instead create hubs in the outskirts of the city .This will certainly limit the vehicle movements and help in reducing the pollution. Also local trains facility like prevailing in mumbai, chennai is the need of the hour for bangalore till metro is full fledged operational. Important hubs like whitefield to city center, whitefield to Yeshwantpur, KR puram to hosur, whitefield to chikballapur via hebbal & yahalanka which already have train lines can be connected thru local trains .This will definitely decongest the city traffic. A great city paralyzed by lack of proper transport planning ...

Pollution
by arungopal agarwal on May 22, 2015 05:38 PM

If we go with present standards of measurement, even a scooter or motor cycle cannot be added in the city, as such either we control the population or get immune to changed very liberal standards, else no use of articles. Every one is happy to live in this circumstances.
