The poor man cannot even look forward to annual increments! What incentives does he have to work hard if you cap his salary!! Poor chap. Hope someone would cap my salary at one-tenth of this fellow's!!!
Does he depend on salary .How much he earns from his share holding in the company , he his children and spouse and may be many others .How many earn this sort of salary in India ? Does this deserve a reporting ?
On one side rich are getting richer day by day. Poor people are becoming more poor as days are passing. The gap between rich and poor is widening. If the same trend continues there will be anarchy in society. Example- People who are engaged in sectors other than agriculture are getting richer. A farmer who is the annadatha, a farmer who feeds the society, a farmer who is the basis of life in society is struggling for his existence.The days ahead are very dark and threatening.Only when a poor farmer is uplifted, the gap between haves and have-nots can be reduced and we cah march towards a healthy society.
As long as ambani's company has public money then he can not take such unfair, ugly salaries.This horrible practice must be curbed immediately.Even 15 crore salary is way beyond any meaning.What can ambani as an individual can contribute justifying this horrible salary
All the expences of residential accomodation;health;fuels for cars,etc.is met at Comapny's account.The capping of the Remuneration on paper looks a brilliant gesture Corporates also pay pension equivalent to the last salary drawn to some of the Sr.excutives including Executive directors after they retire from service of the company.This is HRD working hard to retain the talents on a long term basis.They work hard and dedicate their life for the company.
It is irony that many companies either prospering or existing on the support of public share holders contribution to the companies existence try to reward themselves with fat salaries,even when companies have been in loss for last several years and not paying any dividend,which all are aware.That's why many companies which are in red for last many years could not turn up from loss to profit,as promoters in MD & Chairman posts do not put concerted efforts ,but at the sometime rewarding themselves fat salaries.Govt shld make a law similar to paying dividends from net profits for banks,likewise if company is running loss salaries shld not be more than one or two lakhs per month. During the times of The legendary Dhirubhai Am bani,he was always enthusiastic to reward the shareholders with good dividends,bonus,and rights issue at attractive price,making many shareholders of those times lakhiers and even millioners.But in last 10 years Reliance share holders could not make money commensurate with senses appreciation.,which is self explanatory and need no further comments .jeedigunta,,goa
