1] When Telecom services were with govt you need to pay under the table to get a land line connection. When it was privatized with BSNL also a public ltd co - look at it now they are struggling to get new connections. 2] Air travel was with govt a decade back. The cabin crew never gave even water properly. Now that even pvt players are allowed people travel frequently with Pvt airlines rather than Air India. 3] Railways can give on hire the rail lines to Pvt Cos also on lines of air travel. First only passenger traffic can be given. Those who want to travel by Govt trains they can pay govt fare. those who want clean and smooth rides they can pay more. After some years Commercial traffic also should be given to pvt Cos.
Govt is talking about bullet trains for the past 7-8 years and many surveys are being conducted and several announcements are made about the possible routes. Not a single decision has been taken. When I travelled to Agra from New Delhi last month by our Bhopal Shatabdi, I could see miles of track not being fenced. we heard that a new train will travel at 160kmph and cover Delhi- Agra in 90 minutes and trial runs has been conducted. But till today no one knows when the 160kmph train will be operational. With this kind of development, Govt will be talking about Bullet trains even at 2030 without any decision to build.

Sir, We are armchair critics. Why don"t we try to educate the people to Keep crossing the tracks. Nobody wants to use the foot bridge in a city like Mumbai. If your fellow human beings wants to live in a stone age, and expect the Govt., to do everything.

THE FIRST SENTENCE SHOULD READ "WHY DON'T WE educate........to prevent them from crossing the cracks.

we can educate the people. what about cattles that can cross the tracks? can we train them not to cross the track? Moreover people living near by tracks cannot be moved given the politics behind them. When 200km track cannot be even fenced in 1 year time to run 160kmph train, we can only dream of running 300kmph train.
Can we get some technology from Japanese or chinese for following
1) hygeinic toilets in our train? 2) Better seat and Birth layouts which do not require acrobatic skills and 100% fitness to get in (middle and upper births) 3) Improved communication system for efficient operation (minimise crossing time)
