Modi's achievements are due to falling oil prices.
by Raghunandanan on May 19, 2015 02:52 PM  | Hide replies

I just fail to understand why some people including journalists are shying away from giving credit to Modi for the achievements. Achievements during his rule, the credit should go to him whatever be the reasons. We need not dig up the reasons for not giving credit to some one.

Market economy. He is very determined about it.
by JAAGRUK INSAAN on May 19, 2015 02:39 PM  | Hide replies

The author Mr. Janakrajan appears to be quite biased on some counts.

It is like giving Free unsolicited opinions on what he might have never practiced.

Is Mr. Janakrajan having any administrative experience tohave delivered any good in any of the public systems.

If not, then what is the compulsion to readily subscribe to his views.

Now a days, it is an open fashion to criticize the MODI government and earn some FAME, just like what CONGRESS & Communist chaps are doing.

In fact, We have to allow some more time to get the results from the policies the present government is perceiving for common man.

Congress has never had any such positive energy in favour of common man.
Congress only neatly designed schemes in the name of common man, in such a way that the major block of allotted money for that project or the scheme could easily be siphoned off into its vested interested persons' accounts or thru its planted agents who will pay hefty commissions unofficially to their leaders.

This is what has resulted into public ire and hence Janta having frustrated enough & beyond tolerating levels, had to choose MODI government .
Now it is people's turn to allow this government to perform and yield results in another 1.5 years such that it is the common man of this country who gets benifitted to receive help in the sectors like Low Cost Housing, Better living & achieve saving without getting his money looted by Politicians like what Congress did in last 60 years.

Yes ofcourse we have the prime minister but not the Government unlike in UPA's term when Government was there but PM wasn't. As learnt that interministerial correspondance on policy matters are first vetted by PMO then only moved for further actions. Now a days Central Ministers are made mere spectaters and can not decide matters on their own. Every thing and any thing is decided by PMO. Union cabinet is reduced to a floc of MPs having no business related to their assigned ministries.

Perhaps the subsistence level farming community never worked nor is working now since it is seeing as many suicides now as it did earlier under the UPA!

NITIN DINKAR PATKI
Modi's one year
by NITIN DINKAR PATKI on May 19, 2015 02:05 PM

Modi is at the Centre and common people's lives are affected by policies that are implemented by the states. This takes time. The activities that are directly under the centre and does not require state support are defence, foreign policy & relations, foreign exchange, spectrum auction, coal auctions are done in a flawless and highly efficient manner. Corruption is down. Central Government bureaucracy is working hard and professionally. The credit for this goes to Modi. The effects of development and employment generation can be judged in the coming four years.

by arvind kumar on May 19, 2015 12:01 PM  | Hide replies

after reading the full article, i felt very bad that even economist also sold to politics. if he doest agree with the modi policy then he should tell the solution also. he told about land acquisition bill - with previous bill no one can purchase the land then how u can make infrastructure then where will go S Janakarajan's economy. & because of these type of thinking India is suffering since 1947.
and if this gentleman S Janakarajan is saying that this all good things happend due to oil price down then i should say publishing of this economist's interview on rediff is degrading the quality of rediff articles.
