Oh, komaaaali..........
by piri on May 10, 2015 07:55 PM  | Hide replies

Oh, what grand standing !!!

Oh, komaaaali........what about the smaller but immensely more important primary remedies for removing poverty and alienation of the majority of the people in states such as Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Orissa, M.P, etc ???

Oh, komaaali....what about greatly increased investments in public education, public healthcare, land reforms that take away the tens of thousands of acres of land held by parasites (the feudal era landlords) and distributing them to landless peasants........before sinking money in industries that are proven in India to have done nothing to reduce acute poverty ???

Oh, komaaali, surely you are not like the average middle class Indian commoner who has no knowledge and no reading about the fact that big capital intensive industries have done little to reduce acute poverty, are you ?

You have the Niti Aayog, the ministries of rural development, women & children and family welfare, health, HRD, the NSSO, the census survey of India, the UN HDI......and many more resources that provide you with information and data that prove that it is a big jump in social sector investments that should precede capital investments in reducing acute poverty, dont you ?

Oh, komaaali, how long will you indulge in this charade of taking advantage of the foolishness of middle class commoners ??

Naxals and industrialisation of Dantewada

Violence and brutality of Naxals is recognized. However a society that systematically prevents vast numbers from becoming fully human is also violent and brutal. Exact comparison requires objective, verifiable and scientifically validated scales of deprivation, brutality and violence. That is never done.

Announcing mega projects where the population does not known a square meal is cruel and arrogant. Everyone knows that industries will be a means to drive local poor out or end their lives.

Constitution ought to have provided inalienable land rights to poor locals. They should be compulsorily taken to schools of European standards, perhaps operated by Europeans or located in Europe, all expenses borne by India. Public paid reputed advocates, Indian and Western should be assigned to protect their interests till they themselves are educated enough.

The culture is conscienceless, but if Indians learn to see Right from Wrong then the society might one day be a civilized one.
