'There is no shortage of money for the Railways'

IT IS TRUE RAILWAYS can't be short of funds Under the aegis leadership of a intellectual,result oriented CEO like Mr.sureshprabhu if he cld curtail the extravagant expenditure on top management and also take up new railway projects that could cater to the maximum ,and not with narrow minded regional partisan attitude exhibited by some of former railway ministers appropriating disproportionate funds for works in their own states.
Also an important tourist place like Goa of late tho connected to Mumbai through konkan railway corporation,there is neither daily connecting train either to Hubli nor AMARAVATI Express running from vascodagama to Howrah only for 4 days instead of all 7 days when ther is heavy demand for the said train ( AS IT IS THE ONLY DIRECT TRAIN FOR ANDHRAS,ORIYA& BENGALIS WORKING IN GOA AND TOURISTS FROM THE SAID STATES and full booking getting over 2 m in advance ).This is because of narrow regional consideration being exhibited by SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY authorities ignoring the repeated requests of People working in GOAs request to start the AMARAVATI express other 3 days also fro VASCODAGAMA only instead of HUBLI as the train anyhow has to pass through HUBLI only and nothing loss to Karnataka , on the contrary more revenue to Railways by such kind of active,constructive,public helpful measures to be taken up by PRESENT RAILWAY MINISTER to be hailed RAILWAYS ARE WORKING FOR PUBLIC CONVENIENCE (WITHOUTANY REGIONAL FAVOURS AND INTERESTS WHICH ARE A DRA

If no shortage, why new taxes, why more and more people in tax net, why deficit financing.
Can anyone tell about so huge taxes in last 3000 years on common man.

No shortage of money --> government is funding railways.

It does not mean railways is earning profit.
