It is very painstaking to see the growing incidents of farmers suicide in the country due to natural calamities. In fact snowfall, flood, drought and rainfall are unpredictable things and farmers must upgrade themselves with latest technologies so as to protect their standing crops from natural calamities especially rainfall, drought and snowfall. Rather than providing financial package to affected farmers, government must upgrade farmers with latest technologies. So far land acquisition bill is concerned, it must be acquired with the consent of at least 75% of farmers of a region. if farmers of any region denies selling their excess lands to government, they have full right to say so. Government cannot use forcibly acquire farmer's land without mutual agreement. I again warn union minister Arun Jaitley, who is lawyer also not to utilize his lawyer's mind in framing controversial land acquisition bill. He is already running with down rating. I also advise prime minister modi not to seek explanation from railway ministry for late running of trains. More important is safe journey of passengers in the train and not late running of train. There are several reasons behind late running of trains. Though I don't advocate for late running of trains, it cannot be completely stopped. Government rather than must focus on running of high speed trains at 200 mile/hour in the important rail routes of the country.

Jai Hind,

Mr Modi wants to time peak prosperity at 5 years. Disastrous
by Rajesh Chheda on Mar 30, 2015 04:55 PM

Congress left a great mess in finances, subsidies, Natural gas pricing, coal and telecom and in almost every other area.
Mr Modi and Mr Jaitley were luckiest couple because a drastic crude oil slide took care of almost all financial problems like fiscal deficit, revenue deficit, external account deficit, subsidies, fertilizer prices reduced in a single stroke. That gave govt massive leeway in structuring it's finances and pain to be inflicted on people turned out to be lowering of diesel prices massively.
Inspite of such good fortune which is not going to last as oil prices are eventually going to firm up, this govt has been sleeping over major policy decisions. Forget the Land Act and other that need Parliamentary Nods, simplification and rationalization of laws and model acts along with citizen's charter are needed to reduce and stem corruption and are easily implementable politically.
Only loser is bureaucracy which wants to stay out of accountability and is holding back these changes.
Motormouths like Nitin Gadkari must be stemmed who say that 90,000 crores funds is not a problem.

Besides many political and administrative reforms, biggest reform is required to bring national policy on population whosoever may be in power, Will Modi be dare enough to bring it, after its implementation-things will get set right in 25 years.
