Let there be only two holidays. Independance day and republic day. We are already insulting Mahatmaji enough so need not add injury to insult in the name of special holidays for his birth and death. Convert the remaining holidays to casual leaves which will immensely benefit the employees. Also bring parity in holidays for private and public and government sectors.
In private sector employees work for 240 to 300 days in a year, whereas in Govt. sector including banks-employees work for about 180 days after availing all leaves etc., and in courts only 125 days. Therefore employees in Govt. sector and courts are Masters and rest of the country is slave. Unable to know when Modiji will make us feel that we have SWARAJ, and Govt. servants and judicial system is working for the country.
Though we don\'t crib the holidays to our brethren working in banks but as any rational man each onwe should think what will happen if there is no milk supply for 4-5 days? What will the state of our oife if water does not come for next 4-5 days? Surely the Bank management must reflect and defer the string of holidays and give them Comp Off on other working days as is the norm of other national Key services. I feel that 2 Apr or 3 Apr must be declared a working day. Jaihind! Air Veteran
I strongly advice the Govt. of India to close the Indian Railway system for 8 days continuously in the name of Holidays.....!!!!!!! Yet Our Govt is for the people
the only fragmented segment among the middle class salaried class is the employees of private firms. They have been flogged by all angle by their employers with manipulative work environment, govt by imposing unparalleled taxes every year and finally no where to look to get address their agony.
Therefore, time has come to constitute all India union of company employees in three tiers viz., district, state and national level to give proper justice to the most unorganized but active population of this country.

be aware on on line frauds as there are increasing cases of REDEEM POINTS cash purchase frauds even CITI BANK is not spared by hackers so if the banks remain closed do on line transaction but with secured login be alert please
All Banks are working on 30th and 31st march 2015. April 1,2, and 3 are holidays. On Saturday, 4th April some banks are working for two hours ( 10-30 am to 12-30 pm) and State Bank of India will be working for four hours from 10-30 am to 2-30 pm
In case of some continued holidays among Banks Govt should intervene to see that people don't suffer ,as a result. That is indeed good Governance.Hope PMO listens
Whole country works for 240 to 300 days in a year, whereas our employees in courts work for 125 days and Govt. sector and banks around 180 days if we consider all leaves provided to them. They are still Masters and whole public is servant. When this disparity and SWARAJ will come, now even no hope from Modi, he is also singing the same song which congress used to sing-fearing from these people.
Sir, The Bank Holidays should not be hindrance to the Customer. In case of emergency like conducting marriage, admission to the educational institutions, for hospital admission for emergency operation etc., the customer have to wait till 6th April 2015 for opening of the Banks after nearly 10days Holidays (for transaction purpose). The RBI/Govt.of India have to stepin urgently and direct the Banks to open with minimum staff to allow the customers for urgent transaction and thus do helpful to the customers. Thanking you, Yours sincerely, J.Srinivasan.
I feel sorry for a body like ASSOCHAM spreading such a big lie.March 28 was not a holiday in many states,March 29 is a Sunday.March 30,31 is full working day and for govt. transactions it is opened till midnight on both days.April 01 is bank closing day which happens every year.April 02,03 is holiday but in most of the statesboth days are not holidays.Banks are open on 05 April.
