It was ab initio silly to expect that corporates would would open up their purse strings simply because of the law A few points need to be considered that what has been the incremental expenditure on CSR since 1 4 2014 and to see if the trend is encouraging . Secondly ,honestly I do not think that organizationally , the country is ready to absorb so immediately the substantial incremental outlay on worthwhile CSR activities, following full compliance with the statutory provisions.

CSR
by arungopal agarwal on Jul 29, 2015 12:50 PM

We have seen earlier every business was doing CSR by way of opening schools, colleges, hospitals, dharamshalas, and donating liberally for poor, today this work is undertaken by govt. by way of snatching maximum money from tax payers by way of taxes, whatever is spent, about Rs.30 is a part of tax. What to do, have anyone heard such tax structure in last 2500 years. Still majority of money is spent on DA linked salary, perqs. and retiral of govt. servants and politicians, whereas people are not having employment even for minimum wages.
