DHS does it in US , Bundespolizei in Germnany and similarly in all other countries. Makes our life safer,behave well provided you behave properly with them as is true everywhere else. Not really your fault ...I guess this is a malaise with all named Rahul..useless in politics and elsewhere.
Mr. jacob has probably has seen the duties of Airport Security personnel superficially. They do jot necessarily put only the rubber stamp. It is the endorsement of the security of the passengers. they thoroughly check through X-ray machine any hidden harmful objects are going inboard. They can easily distinguish mild beep petty things like coin, keys etc from heavy beep for heavy metallic articles through their their training. They allow only the genuine passengers. So he should not have called them useless and invite attention of PM.

It is better to be employed rather than be unemployed. It keeps the wheels of economy running. It not only creates business but also jobs for other sectors. During the depression of 1929, countries started creating jobs productive or not, to keep the economy running.
DA linked pension is eating few lac crores, no one is bothered for it. Only in rly, DA linked pension is 36000 crore whereas total receipt from passenger is 30000 crore.
The topic may be correct but example taken is wrong. CISF is very important for providing security to Delhi Metro and Airport. If you give it to State police daily you will see plane hijack. The so called big scientists working in research organizations and travelling attending international conferences and presenting students work should be curbed first. The organizations like CSIR, DRDO etc should be made accountable and all big shots should be given salary by their work not for travelling.
Dear Writer, I have roamed France, Belgium, Germany, UK and China. It is same in every airport. What is wrong here. I think you are trying to set a bse for foul cry for reducing the security force and there by trying to help some body. Like reduction in militery in Kashmir.
