Indian Ad companies and movie makers pay 90 percent of their income to mumbai in the form of actors studios taxes and office rent and cars and petrol and they also work hard to make mumbai the costliest city on earth.

single person of mumbai pays taxes for other 1000 marathi people and entire tax of maharashtra is recovered from their hard work.

MH is leading industrial state providing opportunities to legal settlers as well as slum dwellers from across india. Mumbai is state capital. taxes from mumbai go to centre as well as state. Marathis r not beggers. get ur homework and logic right.

I like Mumbai for a different reason.
Nowhere else in the world will you see vast minefields of freshly laid human excreta on the streets and other public places even smack in the centre of some of the worlds costliest stretches of real estate !
That is certainly a distinction Mumbai alone can claim !
And the icing on the cake is that just about everyone in Mumbai appears to believe in earnest that this is true development !

...IN that case Mr Piri you should also direct your attention to Various Coprorate parks that generate tonnes of employement for ppl across India and the globe, the beautiful skyline at sea-font locations ,the bonding of various communities
