CEO who has lost his interest ....
by mrinalini chavan on Jul 12, 2015 01:51 PM

Some of the respondents said that VCs are here for profits and not for charity. Which is absolutely true.
But Rahul Yadav has done exactly opposite of what VCs think business to be. He gave away all his share in charity to employee of housing. He also challenge other CEOs of other startups to do so. That shows his egoistic nature. He clearly is not aligned with investor’s way of thinking. Thankfully nobody bothered to follow such a foolish act.
Also calling investors fool is self-destructive act. Probably both these acts cooked the plot of sacking him forcefully.
CEO who has lost his interest in the business has no reason to stay in position.

Pl. dont discount him yet
by Srikanta Nayak on Jul 07, 2015 01:56 PM

I have seen this venture scaling heights and it does not happen with day and night hard work, dedication, sacrifice and vision. The way this comp scaled in few years is simply AMAZING. The investors only look at their returns. People like Rahul look at innovation, they constantly look at solving the Problems at hand, to solve the problems which no one has; and these with their own learning... This part is simply praiseworthy. Lets not discount this team just yet for a small life event like this. There will be many more amazing stuff this team is capable of and am sure they will create.

Someone has rightly said that talent alone cannot take you to heights, you need to have right attitude towards work and people around you

Hi, all, comparing with steve job , does not fit out here , except the school drop out factor. It was very obvious that the investor would not entertain comments on their capability. The statements were too immature. In fact looping the team members showed insecurity with rahul yadav. Moreover i do not believe that concept like housing.com will work out. There are too many similar websites and the real estate business in india has too many loop holes. Buyers are most of the time fooled. I find it very strange that as an iitian instead of focussing on some technology based invention, these fellows are coming out easy ways of making money from the website. Housing.com is a overrated company and may not stand successful.

difference between Jobs and Yadav in terms of scale of achievement, they are also different in another very pertinent matter.

While Jobs created things of high value and had to contend with fierce competition in a very developed market (at least in the initial phases), Yadav has created a relatively *airy fairy thing* whose success is derived more from the ignorance and gullibility of the Indian middle class commoner and from the relative lack of competition in a market that is still relatively very primitive.

You are wrong competition in housing web space is fierce with top names like 99 acres, magicbrick, JLL etc. A commoner like him was able to breakthrough midst of established market with layers of information software in his website which increases transparency. Look at it first even 3 D view of plots are available. That's called programing genius with vision. But of course, I agree with topic above it requires responsible action along with intelligence!

Wrong.

3D views of housing plots and housing and every other little detail that is a part of housing dot com are not original ideas of Yadav at all, not by a distant margin.

Such features have been available on portals in developed markets for quite some time. Yadav just customized several of these features for the Indian market (as is the case with so many of the supposedly Indian origin innovations)!
