MAHARASHTRA-BIGGEST LOOTER STATE IN INDIA
by abhay narayan on Jul 11, 2015 07:41 PM

As pointed out by various readers, Maharashtra has highest taxes, maximum numbers of toll roads, octroi posts and mafias collecting money.
But the biggest mafia is Maharashtra Government. As everyone will agree, petroleum prices are the indicators of inflation. Maharashtra is producing oil in Bombay high, refineries are in Mumbai, Imports took place in Mumbai ports and THE HIGHEST PRICES OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS IS IN MAHARASTRA.
Mr. Fadanavis must be knowing the fact that his home city, Nagpur has highest prices of petrol and diesel in India. In contrast, prices of petrol and Diesel is lowest in Delhi. This is at the cost of Maharashtra. Maharashtra contributes highest Income tax, Excise,Customs and service tax in the country which is main source of revenue to central Government. But major share goes to Delhi depriving Maharashtra.
Does the people know that Delhi has developed best Metro Rail services in world? at whose cost? Delhi has no source of revenue of its own. State like Maharashtra contributes it. Unfortunately none of CMs so far has ever fought for Maharashtra or Mumbai. All MLAs, MPs, Ministers, Corporators are busy thinking of having flats in Government quota and make money, loot Mumbai in real estate, and think of making money in every Government projects.
Mr. Fadanavis, please look after these issues and stop this Government loot, reduce taxes and make it comparable to Delhi and deficit arising to be recouped by reducing/curtailing Govt. expenditure.

Maharajas on flights
by Prakash Bedekar on Jul 11, 2015 07:57 AM

Our Hon CM Fadanvis had threatened to take legal action for attributing flight delay to him. It is more than 10 days since the incident happened, why is he keeping quiet instead of filing defamation cases?

Our Hon CM Fadanvis has threatened to file defamation cases against media for coverage of flight delay. He should also file cases against Air India and duty officer, however he must realise that report filed by cabin crew and flight duty officer is contrary to his denial. If he proven wrong will hw publicly apologise and resign or recent policy of BJP, will say "So what"

Bad Example
by Keki Patel on Jul 02, 2015 12:57 PM  | Hide replies

Shri Fadnavis has set a very bad example to the people of his state. The arrogance with which he dealt with the AI flight delay speaks volumes about the man and his priorities. Sir, first set your house in order then spend time & money to woo investors from abroad. So many local industries are shifting to neighbouring Gujarat. Woo them back, then think of overseas investments, because with the way Maharashtra is going and functioning, you are sure to lose both!

Pl wait till Fadanavis returns. Do not jump on conclusion. 40 years back industries shifted from West Bengal to Maharashtra and some of them are shifting to Gujrat. That does not mean Maharashtra should not go for new industries.

No one has the right to hold up any flight,if a senior bureaucrat forgets his papers then he could have boarded the next flight. To remove corruption the C.M. should and also the ministrers concerned should make their purcases along with the price list public for the people to judge who is right and who is wrong. If found guilty htey should be removed and if nothing wrong is found then the complainant should be fined and jailed for wrong information and defamation

lot of talks no action
by KARAN on Jul 02, 2015 06:18 AM

How can any body trust fadnavis with all the corruption around him.It is astounding that a greedy minister in his cabinet indulges in corrupt practices in supply of food items to the children and the lady is brazen enough to say that the CM has given her a clean chit .The rot of corruption is so deep routed that the elected representatives feel that they like mahsrajas can loot have a holiday abroad and come back to loot. Nothing will change on ground, for the gpvts are for the politicians, for the babus, for the govt employees.

pitching for maharashtra
by Krishna iyer on Jul 02, 2015 05:59 AM

THere is no doubt that maharashtra is pro industry and is well developed. kudos to the culture of maharashtra & their accommodative nature with exception like nav nirman sena, which also realized the folly of suns of the soil policy quickly...Fact remains that adequate water supply and very desperate traffic conditions in cities like pune, death of a woman due to starvation recently at Gondia etc does not augur well for the growth.....The CM must concentrate on improving these before opening his presentataion...

Hon CM Fadanvis should not forget that right from the inception of state, the ruling parties have helped the state to become industrial hub and should not forget to give credit to Congress/NCP for the same

A marathi farmer was exporting 10000 rupees of onoins and he had to given 50000 in form of corruption and paper work and transport to mumbai and the transport cost to the foriengn country was only 4000/- rupees so is this not cheating and he had to do 14 documents from three departments as if he was exporting drugs. Means even marathi people are not trusted in their own state

Is this not cheating. Meter cost is 800/- rupees and they take deposit of 1000/- rupees and the electricity manager wants 3000/- to give connection. The meter rent is 250/- per month and they take 3000/- per year rent for a meter which is costing only 800/-. People are told to collect money on the road becasue they are not doing duty so allowing them to collect money is way of promoting them to give duty on saturdays and mahatma gandhi jayanti and republi day and other festivals
