Apart from challenges faced in uncertain farming , Indian farmers do not get a proper price for their hard earned crop.
Government only interested in giving subsidized food grains without increasing the minimum support price. Most people are leaving villages and migrating to urban areas due to this loss in farming.
There are no opportunities for farmers to directly export farm produce overseas in order to get better rate.
It is time for state and central governments to work for the welfare of farming community and give them better price to sell their produce.
Yes, minimum one member employment at minimum wage in every family must be provided as a social security by Govt. instead of increasing DA linked salary, perqs.and retiral of Govt. Servants, who are paid 3-4 times comparing to market. Even peon /Sepoy cost to Govt. Rs.40,000 p.m. with leaves, medical and retiral. All subsidies also should go. Social security is a must. Joke of public money. Strong WILL is required to implement it. Money can be found from such sources.
