How to get credit for genuine work
by palanki narayana on Jan 14, 2015 08:16 PM  | Hide replies

Any invention, discovery or process development should be patented without delay. If the work is genuine, patent will be granted and no one can steal the credit. If the work is bogus nobody would like to steal it.
The claim that sunlight reacting with mercury produces hydrogen is as hare brained as Ramar Pillai's claim that petrol can be produced from water. The claim had fallen flat and Pillai vanished.

Mercury does react with sunlight to produce hydrogen !

Or it used to do that before we were invaded and mentally enslaved. Once we regain our national pride and self-confidence - mercury will once again power our visions and aspirations.

Leonardo da Vinci left full descriptions (complete with drawings) of machines and appliances which he could not fabricate and test with the technology available during his time. His ideas were proved to be sound and practical when implemented in modern designs. If the Vedic designs can be implemented now, credit should be given for implementation if not for discovery (or re-discovery). Mr.Dinanath Batra has his job cut out.

Let people or the govt give a fund of say rupees one crore or so to ONe IIT and IISC. Ask them to take all explanations, principles and concepts about Aeroplanes as were in all ancient texts and make full experimentation and build one aere plane. That will give way to greatness of Indian Texts and epics than gossipping here.

Strange chemistry

Sunlight reacting with mercury releasing hydrogen!
By the way hydrogen cannot be used to lift an aeroplane which is an open frame. A gas lighter than air can be used in airships which have closed compartments. After the Hindenberg disaster hydrogen was never used in airships, helium (which is not flammable) taking its place.

1895

Bombay in 1895 was not exactly a village. How come such a feat is not recorded anywhere? Papers like Times of India and Mumbai Samachar (Gujarati) were already in mass circulation. An event of such magnitude at Chowpatty would definitely find a mention in those papers.

It is time we stopped living in delusion!

Future is already there in our minds.
by Rajesh Chheda on Jan 14, 2015 05:21 PM  | Hide replies

Current aircraft technology is not good for humans of future.
Current rocket technology is to say mediocre for humans of future, we need to think different.
In future, humans will travel to planets and to other galaxies as well and create or find habitats for them this techology will not work.
Aircrafts powered by different sources of energy, going at speeds which today's science says is impossible are needed and we need to start work on them now.

Great!
by Tom Dick on Jan 14, 2015 03:03 PM

We had some very bright people lived in our country who did wonders in the field of science and technology but unfortunately no one, no rulers of the time, encouraged them or chronicled them or promoted the ideas to the next step. That was our failure. If we don't blow our own trumpet, no one will!. Our inventions and discoveries must be fully supported and taken forward by our rulers so that the future generation can proudly say that we are achievers.

IIT, Madras not Delhi. If Pillai succeeded in making petrol from herbs we would not be paying Rs.70 for a litre of petrol now.

Why don't you put it in your car and tell the readers how well it ran?
