issues in india will.never get resolved so soon
by Sudarshan N Kotian on Feb 03, 2015 03:52 PM

Fundamentally all states in India are being ruled differently, all states have their own issues and strengths. All states will not be having the same developmental agenda or might have a different version of developmental agenda. All PM is doing is getting investment into India and its upto the states to put their best foot forward and help themselves. Coming to the issue of solving internal issues first, basically for a young democracy like our it will take at least 50 years to get our house in order because change iun mindset takes a generation to take effect. So as a result activities which will benefit our economy must be taken now because if we wait for another 50 years to have a population of changed mindset we would have already missed a lot of buses. As gandhiji had said be the change you want to see, we must first understand what is the change we want to see, clearly most of us do not have a clue, hence start with cleanliness since the idea of cleanliness even if different for different people it will give some results.

Make in India
by G A Krishnan on Feb 03, 2015 03:43 PM

It is true world will not like to have another China in their hands. But it is equally true they would like to enjoy one pitted against another for their own benfits and to that extent won't mind India competing China in the field of manufacturing foreign designed goods. We missed out the entire two decades allowitng China to march ahead of us by creating the right atmosphere for the manufacture in their soil. The two factors they first met was the demand for proper insurance/safeguards for the investment and the 'hire and fire' mode needed by the advanced countries to handle the labour. Modi is slowly inching towards that now though the task is uphill. The skill, speed and age may be in our favour. But whether we can give them the price advantage will be the crucial issue.

Trust our people India exports fashions to developed countries.. then why we should import such a costly coat from abroad...

Modi/BJP has no other work other than fool the nation and RSS is actively involved in looting the nation, protecting the interest of Hindus is just a mask to make big money.

BJP is also fooling the nation. BJP came in power with a promise "job for all people" and now we see "broom for all people". What a Joke?

I agree with you underlining your point "what we preach we must practice." Modi says he is representative of India but he never realize yet that there are certain minorities facing a great horror by so called fanatics. I would say... where there is no respect of person and the religion there is no growth..... Plans may be great but without religious harmony things would be messed up.

It is as if importers are unpatriotic
by Rajesh Chheda on Feb 03, 2015 02:07 PM  | Hide replies

Make in India suggests that importers who fulfill legitimate demands of industry and consumers are an unpatriotic lot.
Fact is bureaucracy and politicians have made manufacturing in India an nonviable business in majority of cases. Hence rise of importers
