Call Drops - Snooping - Poor customer support
by Gomathi K Reddy on Dec 19, 2015 11:43 AM

Its not just the BSNL or MTNL - Its all the telecom operators in the various zones of this country. Ultimately, we must acknowledge the fact that the spectrum of this land belongs to people of this land. This is being auctioned to the highest bidders and they take it upon themselves to snoop on us, provide poor service and armtwist us with legal cases, when we demand proper service and support.
There is huge public outcry and outrage at the way Broadband service providers operate in this country and get away with their hooliganism. Just log on to any Broadband forum and you'll have an inkling of the tip of the iceberg. When a sincere PM is keen to ensure that the digital divide among the urban rich and rural poor is minimized through wide spread digitization initiatives, it is imperative that the respective ministries clean-up their act with proper measures to hold these telecom companies to task. Why cant the Government insist on telecom companies to clean up their act in customer support. Only companies with minimal customer support complaints will be considered for extending licenses...why cant this become a clause for license allocation? Afterall its our country, our land, our air(spectrum) and our hard earned money which is going down the drain as monthly bills for these companies, which have no respect for the consumer and her rights. Wake up Government! Wake up people. We owe it to our children to leave a better India for them to aim for excellence, in this country
