Smart city is a crazy waste full idea without amy commensurate benefit at this point on time when no city has good drinking water facility, no proper plan for garbage disposal, no plan for dealing with and refucih sewage water, no collection facility for rain water collection, the politicians looted all the lake beds and we are talking of SMSRt City
This effort is rediculous and senseless expence

Most of them written negative about Smart city project. Indians master in negative comments.
Last 60 years cr of rupees waste because of in-efficiency bureaucrats mistake. now Let Modi spend some money on his pet projects, wait for some time than comment on it.

Just one month ago the MUD has announced that they do not know the definition of Smart City (SC) & they do not know what features SC should have but allocated 50,000 Crores. Now they come up with 3 lak crores in the next 3 yrs. On what basis they are arriving at such figures without knowing what is SC? India is sure to burn 3 lak crores & more, for SC. In the past, some smart Town Planning expert had proposed Satellite Towns which did not give any solution to the problems in Cities. Can anyone say, in what way SC are different from Satellite towns or present Cities, except Metro Trains & 4G connectivity (or whatever). I have written to the PMO & MUD that more than SC, they need proper/different direction, to the direction of growth/development. All these SCs are going to be new Clusters of Concrete jungles & with same problems, in different G/Class. The PMO Office better see my letter before finalising burning of 3 lak crores. Is there any Model SC in the World, which does not have Urban problems like Housing, Health, Transport, Drinking Water, Sewerage, Schools, Industrial pollution, Energy (Electricity) etc. for India to at least Copy those Cities? Wonder how they are planning to proceed and they would not accept any suggestions. I am sure MUD is working on some imaginary statistical figures, to execute old problems in new shape.
