Who wrote OFF 1,70,000 crores from the Banks? Who were benefitted from 'writing off' loan? These loans were converted into black money for the real estate developers and builders. No one comes to help to 'write off' the loan of farmers who loaned a lakh or two for cultivation. Who is to be blamed? RBI Governor or Politicians?

Look in every colony, maximum house owners are Govt. servants, PSU bank employees, or allied services employees as they are guaranteed the job upto retirement with DA linked perqs. and retiral, all other people in India just fools to be looted left and right by way of taxes everywhere.
Only politicians, govt. servants and judicials are elite class in India.

Rajan is right: Salaried class can't afford a house
by Prabhakar Waghodekar on Aug 23, 2015 10:37 PM  | Hide replies

Top salaried employees hail from IT, Banking and such sectors where both wife and husband are salaried employees fetching income to the tune of Rs 25 lakhs pa. The size is 1.27 million and salary disbursed is 1.68 lakh crore. This is not even 1% of employees of organized sector that forms hardly 2% of workforce in India. And we cry these employees cannot purchase flats. Then who purchase? Businessman and self employed. Where from they amass wealth? Profit and black money. Govt. also earns 40-50% through taxes. Politicians, gangs, officers and Public Sectors like CIDCO, etc mint money. What happens to 98% un-organised labour force, farm workers who get pity wasgs that too for a few days in a month? What a mockery of democracy, Govt, for people? What is about Central and State governance during the last 68 years? Corruption rampant, 1% population controls 95% wealth of this country and we worry about whom? Is it an indication where 7th Pay Commission heading? Hare Ram!

REAL ESTATE IS THE MOST CORRUPT SECTOR IN INDIA -- WITH LOCAL CORPORATIONS- HAVING SHARE FOR GIVING PERMITS TO BUILDERS - FOR WATER - ELECTRICITY - ROADS ETC .. EVERYBODY HAS HIS WON SHARE . WHO IS INVOLVED IN this activity - apart from this there are pther taxes on raw materials - only 1% indians have capacity to buy good houses rest will stay out of city and some will depend on "bap ki jaidad "REGUARDING SALARIED PERSONS -- there is no job security -- one can loose a job in one day flat -- due to office politics -- I have seen my friends in my own office being kicked out of the organisation due to others faults .This is another risk why people dont go for loans . PRIVATE SECTOR IS THE worst to work in india -- with no value for human being -- even graduate engineers are considered equal to a worker - INDIA HAS TO MAKE ATLEAST A 2 CHILD POLICY COMPULSARY IF NOT LIKE CHINA .

capacity of salaried people to buy new flats-incometax rebate
by sreerama on Aug 23, 2015 10:22 PM

When it has become unaffordable buying of new flats for salaried people and salaried employees only are penalized with heavy income tax deductions at source as the section 80 c& other discounts allowed in this modern India of heavy salaries is very meager and eyewash,as 20% salary is going for income tax n where is money for buying new flat.Govt shld allow additional 1 lakh deduction under section 80 c towards home loan repayment of loan. This gives a big boost for salaried and also real estate business.Govt shld revise all deductions admissible factoring inflation n plight of salaried employees, this factor finance ministers casting a Nelsons eye, leading to lot of demkra,is action for employees when 20% going for income tax only.jeediguntagoa

Taxes are almost 40% on the price of a flat ....
by Nalin Kishore on Aug 23, 2015 02:24 PM

Taxes start from land(regn, stamp duty), approval fees, cess on extraction of sand and aggregates, excise on cement, steel, tiles, paints, petrol, diesel, VAT on these items, fees to be paid on completion for approvals etc, taxes on power used and numerous other local duties and taxes. Not included are moneys paid to local goons and so called politicians. Only finished product should be taxed ie the flat and not the individual components. If a single point tax is imposed at the time of handing over of flats things will be more transparent. Prices will also come down.
