Do we really require upperhouse???
by Suresh Tenvillage on Aug 11, 2015 06:14 PM  | Hide replies

Who is sitting in upper house (Rajyasabha)the non elected, unaccountable, serving obeisance to their leader in the midnight and burden to the tax payers.

How can these bunch of people decide the fate of public in general when we they haven't been elected by an ordinary citizen. I think it is a big joke on democracy and I personally treat its an extravagancy at the tax payers money by the political system as a whole.

We must think over to close this house at the earliest possible so that crores of tax money can be saved and same can be diverted to some productive infrastructure in the country.

This again needs a constitutional amendment, which would never be acceptable to the Opposition. How could the Opposition give up its rights even if it forgets its duties. Just not prepared for a debate, isnt it?

It is not defeat, Modi is enjoying taste of extortionist democracy. He is a good player of politics, will come up-may take some time.
In order to speed up reforms-we need emergency for one year to bring all reforms, democratically-may not be possible within 10 years time.
