Proposed Labour Legislations
by BIJAY PUROHIT on May 01, 2015 02:20 PM

The Proposals should include the abolition of Sec. 36(4) of the ID Act, and the Act must allow the legal practitioners to appear in an ID case, as it is seen by practise that, the poor workmen are being deprived of getting justice, as they are prevented from engaging legal practitioners. More over, the development in the Industrial legislation are slow due to mis-interpretations and wrong interpretations in Labour Laws. There also should not be abolition of Labour Courts.

small scale industrialists are just like better or higher wage earners! they invest their money, experience in an industry they feel will reward them. it may turn out otherwise several cases! they should not become poor and pauper if their enterprise fails to pay wages for the workers who manufacture nothing and wages have to be paid for years due to labor regulatory acts. it is one of the major reason that small scale enterprises do not wish to expand and become medium sized and employ more people. any omeaction aiding such business persons is welcome1

India’s relatively young population can be an asset if they are universally well educated. UN forecasts that India’s population will outstrip China’s by 2030. Job creation through faster GDP growth is therefore an urgent necessity. Growth in IT and other services will not create enough jobs. IT-related jobs make up only one quarter of one percent of India’s labour force.

To create jobs the main thrust of reforms must be in manufacturing. That requires a change in labour laws to allow employers to retrench workers when business demand is down , streamlining the judicial processes, reducing the fiscal deficit, loosening up the bureaucracy, and most of all improving infrastructure. Let me focus on the last two as I believe they are crucial and inter-connected - Lee Kuan Yew in an interview in 2009

He said because he saw both China and India closely. India manufacturing is hampered because of bureaucracy that includes worst ranking in ease of business like too many paper work, corruption, red tapism, graft, harassment of sales and excise tax officers, then Indias lack of infrastructure in villages like water, electricity, roads and villages not properly connected to cities and vast difference in life between two and last labor reforms.

India if not wrong according to top political genius and analyst too right decisions. Labor reform was due from long time. Labor strikes, politicization of unions like Shiv Sena has few wing, MNS has several and result is

Only manufacturing can mop up India’s vast pool of unemployed, narrow the urban-rural divide and reduce poverty.

This law will create more jobs and during recession there will be firing, but again when the market comes good they will be hire.

At least it is better than sitting being unemployed. Then there are benefits, because of more production there will be more vocational training institutes who will do skill development. Suppose a man gets pink ticket,he will be retrenched still he will learn all skills and he will get chance in other company to get hired since now hiring will also make it easier. Benefits are more than disadvantage.

This is all done for ease of doing business in India. Just realize their steps. All this should have been done by Congress in last 60 years. What they did... more reservation for caste, more red tapism by following Nehruvian socialist system of license raj, more unions of political parties,so that they can politicize more and create further vote banks..

You must believe Congress was one who destroyed India and must be eliminated from politics for better politics. All they did was destruction of India.

BJP whatever you call communal party or not, but their top leadership is taking right decision at right time, the problem lies in their lower end system with people like sakshi maharaj, adityanath, sadhvi, yedurappas and that illiterate Irani who was responsible for labour reforms as it falls under HRD, but alas gawar lady

Helpless people (MEN AND WOMEN)

In the middle class employees are helpless, bejara. Mass suicide will happen in front of Parliament. Not option. Useless M.P. & M.L.A get good salary, life time pension and other benefits, where their contribution is nothing. Whereas in the middle class people who work for 15 years to 25 years, any time employers will kick them out without any benefit. Good example, the famous AMITY UNIVERSITY - DELHI keep all employees on contractual system. No statutory benefit given. Very poor salary paid like daily wages. Who will tie the bell to cat, bejara public get suicide, by mistake they got birth.

In india leaders get elected not to find solutions to the problems of the poor n common man but to eliminate them help big corporates, exploit the national resources and think about their future in next elections.I thoight Modi govt would be people friendly but turned out to be against the poor n pro rich who funded their elections. Why do these organisations give donations for marathons, fund cricketers etc when they can improve life of poor citizen ? We are a heartless fraud nation which can allow the citizen to die without mercy. BJP or Congress all useless for nation.

PINK MODEL
by Anirban Das on May 01, 2015 02:45 AM

Well judged and the labor laws made is quite good both for the employees and the employers. Now there will be work in the firms and not the useless ystrikes. Few points are too good - Restriction on politicisation and no outsiders in the union, 3 months notice and 45 days salary before giving pink slips to employees as well as 3 weeks time to object the expulsion.

If the employees dont have bargaining power, they will prefer to sit at home or go back to the villages. After all if a person is paid rs 3k with not benefits. So much for fake in india.
