Government is fooling people

When international prices fell the Govt increased taxes on the oil and passed a very small amount to the people. Now people may be praising him on face but they really curse the Gove.

Minister Dharmendra Pradhan BJP & congress number of times sad oil prices are linked to international crude oil prices . Now you say that your government reduced prices we are not fools . It is the failure of your Modi govt that after falling international crude prices $110 to $47 per barrel only meeger amount you had reduced.

oil prices fall but the profit of oil PSU can not so Govt has to adjust the loss of IOC BPCL HPC and reduce price cut accordingly so if we see other nations we will be much surprises how our PSUs die

Long and tall talk
by arulraj on Apr 24, 2015 10:52 PM

This present got ministers including Modi known for their tall talking. They speak in such a way very convincingly as though they have full of feeling for the people. But in reality nothing. No wonder they won the election with full majority with this tall talk only.

If price dropped more than 55% in International Market and in India price just dropped about 18%, how you have passed the price reductions to the Consumers?

The subsidy for Petrol and Diesel which ran into 100,000 crores under UPA regime is not even 20 % of it. ONGC which should be ideally doing all the exploration work was made so weak by using its profit for cross subsidising petrol and Diesel subsidy. This left nothing with ONGC to invest which in turn helped companies like Reliance and Cairn UK. Part of the crude price fall which has not been passed on to consumers has reduced the subsidy burden and so ongc is relievd. I personally feel all the oil drilling and exploration work should be with PSUs like ONGC afterall any profit it makes goes to govt.

All to support the Adani and Ambani who help the political parties in the their election campaign both above and mostly under the table.
If they reduce, they will have to reduce to the national rate. so keep the price high, so that their pocket will be filled and over filled to convert the amount to the political parties who support them.

oil price

oil price fell more than 50% (from $ 105 to $ 46 )- retail price has fallen by 20% only (from 75.49 to 61.9). This reduction happened after very much delay. So oil companies have pocketed 30% and passed on 20% to consumers? but if price increased 5% internationally - they were quick to raise prices by 10% immediately.

Have you considered how much subsidy the govt used to give to oill companies then and now. It was almost 1,00,000 crores. Now it is bare minimum only for cylinders that also tranferred directly to consumer accounts now. U dint question then? When govt was giving so much subsidy, how can the prices could be so high then?

typical blind followers reply. Now you mean to say that when the prices go up, we will have to cough up more on higher prices for petroleum products ... I mean this logic is because you said earlier government gave higher subsidy and this government which was not a good decision/action..so the prices will have to naturally go up only to bridge the gap
