Secret of China, Taiwan, Japan's progress
by sanjay kulkarni on Apr 26, 2015 07:26 PM

Semiconductor design, manufacturing is very important in this short living aspect of Electronics Engineering field. Taiwan is very tiny country on the earth, but its every alternate house has mini-electronics-industry. You ask anything on earth-which-is-possible-in-electronics and you will certainly get it in Taiwan. China has huge no. of semiconductor fabs - which creates many ancillary industries and millions of jobs. Japan - is the crazy people's land. These 3 countries mainly as an example are Electronics Centric countries and one can see their economic development and progress.
If you dont have Good Hardware Manufacturing Set up - you are always dependent upon such countries where you at times, one need to beg for getting quality HW. Today electronics is everywhere and India needs it most. China has its own MicroProcessor & own Operating System around which their entire defense is established. Where is India?
India's visionless Congress leaders had missed the bus. But there is still a chance to catch the bus as this industry will continue at least for next 25 more years to come. Area around Hyderabad, B'lore can be considered to be good for semiconductor ancillary industries while manufacturing can be considered to be near Gujrat. All these places are dry atmosphere places which are good for this industry. Good road/air/train connectivity to export is another criteria. When Indian govt. is going to be awake to welcome such huge industry..? Will Mpdi do it?

we are here to perform a particular role though practically we had been exercising our judgement/skill but still everything is confusing and might be dependent on super natural power...

Old article
by Gerami Havewala on Apr 24, 2015 05:07 PM

This seems to be an old article!

It mentions '38 years later' (after 1965), which comes to 2003.

This also becomes clear by looking at the years mentioned in the graphs.

Otherwise, an informative article.
