Taxortion
by on Apr 25, 2015 11:47 AM

The perception is there is no relief in taxation for any one. Similarly nothing has moved to prove the ministers of UPA guilty of corruption although there is so much talk in the air. Even the National herald case has not moved to a result although it is clear that cong is guilty. On land bill you are cornered by 44 seats of congress. The Marans are happy and so are the rajahs. What about MMsing who is also as guilty as others because of his silence.Nothing could be done. Finance ministry is simply continuing the congress policy. Every BJP MP is not putting his best foot forward to support Modi in what he wants to do.1 year has almost passed. If results do not come in soon UPA will become belligerent. A relative of mine said that the Ganga is clean as never before. But I am unable to get any info from news channels on this. So much for publicity. I am writing this out of my own frustration that what Modi promised is not happening or not perceived? Mani

Rediff is Anti Modi Govt
by Satheesh KR on Apr 20, 2015 06:28 PM  | Hide replies

Rediff spends most of its time in searching for articles written against Modi Govt. and publish it. Better spend very little time and talk about the good things the govt. is doing.

Why shouldn't Modi not collect the taxes due to the Govt. These taxes were imposed by the previous UPA govt. When ordinary Indians pay their taxes why shouldn't the big corporates and FIIs not pay the taxes? Why is the author batting for the non payees?

Why Do We Need FIIS, by the way ...????
by Nalin Kishore on Apr 20, 2015 05:33 PM  | Hide replies

They come to India to invest in stock markets, make money by the ton and walk away when the markets are at the peak. Why can't we make everything in India ? Indian People can pump in more money than FIIs if given same level of tax exemptions and the opportunity to invest in India. Why not raise tax free bonds for every project, as was done for Konkan Railway, Sardar Sarovar Dam, NTPC etc in the past ??

FII's should wholesale move out of India
by Rajesh Chheda on Apr 20, 2015 01:03 PM

FII's can and should move out of India wholesale. If my company was given such a demand, we would not wait for lucrativeness of Indian market to cloud our judgement over principles. We would have just pulled out fully.

MAT on FIIs
by krishan bansal on Apr 20, 2015 12:47 PM

The article appears to be biased or motivated. It condemns everyone without exception.MAT provisions nowhere state that this tax is applicable only to companies having place of business in India. It is applicable to all companies. AAR ruling may not be correct on this point. In any case, AAR ruling does not lay down any precedent as it applicable to only that case. The columnist is trying to press a point which is incorrect in law. However, if latest proposal in FB is approved, MAT may have no impact on FIIs.

Modi

Arun Jaitely will be main cause for the incumbency factor of Modi Govt. His approach is elite typical advocate type, who does not know the pulse of the people. Already a big vote bank of BJP viz. LIG,MIG and lower upper income group has slipped from Modi. Instead of easing tax reforms and bringing SWARAJ, indirect terror like Chidambaram is now being created. The erosion of Modi popularity is very fast.
Arun Jaitely must be removed from any position, today he cannot win even a municipal election in Delhi.

Modi has no other talented guy for finance and Jaitley is his chief troubleshooter and hence in Finance Minister same like Pranabda was for UPA.
Bring some talented guy for finance only one guy named Raghuram Rajan comes to mind for now.

ut he is not agree RSS policy and work like MMS during PVR regime then all popularity will go from PM and AJ. hence we wanst to power and with the help of junior MP those who are elected in first time in indian history. after 2/3 years they will come to know their own position and then this majority will come into minority. wait and watch

Finance ministry is to be given one knowledgeable person in economics instead of law education. FM fully depend upon the buracarts. this is very well knows by PM but unfortunately he is good unelected freight of PM he never remove him. If no curruption in buracarascy then why they will be sincerely for this govt. they are the wise people and do any thing without knowing this govt not only this every important point may pass to their old bosses and create havoc in the parliament. It is better every ministery should be given to the person well knowledge of this subject. then only make india will be come up.
