India builds first 'smart' city as urban population swells

 SMART WAY TO MAKE EVERYONE PAY TAX

Bring them from their villages, small towns and make them work like dags in so called such smart cities and make them cough up tax to the Govt

Isn't that a smart way of business?

Just observe in the future, such smart cities will only come up where the tax payers ratio is too low or unaccountable!

70 Smart Cities in 5 years, so on an average 14 per years, finally we have one (though we still need to check if it is as smart as our smartphones) and that too in Gujarat. Will all the development plans be implemented in only Gujarat or is there anything for other states as well.

Yup...Under UPA we have managed to get all our cities smart and world class...right...??

GIFT is on its way to becoming a world class smart city in another 6 - 7 years...!!

Anybody worried about building a 'smart' village also? And at 1/1600 cost of a smart city? Or, development is meant for cities only?
