After mining, restore the environment
by R Chakravarti on Apr 15, 2015 11:05 AM

I once read that in Germany they collect the tposoil before a mine is started, put it back after the mining operations have ceased and grow trees on the mine site. Why can't we do the same?

NGOs like CSE have repeatedly submitted biased reports ..

and they keep on repeating falsehoods ad nauseum everywhere. Dams and reservoirs are needed to control floods, generate pollution free power and supply water to the population. These NGOs oppose nuclear power, oppose hydro power, oppose thermal power, what do they want ?? They have NO solution to the problems faced by this country. Therefore water has to be extracted from ground, coal has to be mined, highways and railways have to be made, trees will have to be cut, new trees will have to be planted. Population cannot be controlled, aspirations of the young population have to be met, so natural resources have to be used, NGOs need to be controlled.

All movements against any unsocial industrial activity must be fully organised by people who are genuinely affected without any involvement of politicians and go betweens.gross visible pollution must not be allowed
