There are vast pieces of land, all over the country, which are lying waste, i.e. no crop is grown, no trees, just marsh land, saline land, etc. Nobody denies that agricukture is the backbone of our country and no extra land is going to be available. Industries are to be built, but would these industries produce food! No. Govt. should not deprive poor farmers, who are mostly illiterate, poor and have no knowledge about any other profession than agriculture. Once their land goes, no matter with how much money, they would be ruined as they do not know any other profession,and the money they are given too would be spent after a few years. The farmers must be provided land nearby, by developing waste lands, etc.
Govt. is already with public trust, see election results, it is only opposition who is creating trouble, yet to see any political party who does not talk about farmers from the last 67 years including Modi, now opposition since in good number in Rajya Sabha is trying to rebuilt its vote bank with hate spreading. Our system permits it. Trust cannot be taken after each 6 months, country system is to get it after 5 years.
