Not Sure

The media has had a huge role in creating the Modi hype.I think media is still not coming out openly with the truth about this government's performance. So even if the corporate /industry is not happy, this would not be allowed to surface as the media is still doing the window dressing. One of the most spineless media (print/web et al) is one can say in a nutshell is what we have in India.

Naked Dance ??
by Sachin on Apr 01, 2015 06:49 PM

I suppose the Industry expects that they will dance naked and the government will turn a blind eye to them in the name of being business friendly.

POLITICAL VENDATTA
by Rajesh Khemka on Apr 01, 2015 02:23 PM  | Hide replies

Cancellation of coal block in the name of cartelisation is noting but political vendatta against the congress MP Navin jindal. If cartelwas there then the complete auction has to be cancelled and not 2 or three allotment. When other didn't bid against jspl the JSPL also had not bid against other allotees thus bringing benefit to them. Secondly the government has fixed the minimum base price and the bids were above it so no chance of malpractice.
So either the whole coal auction has to be cancelled or jspl will get back the mines but a simple way to harass Navin Jindal after subhash chandra goel owned zee news claimed that cartel was formed to bag mines at a cheap price and it is a well known fact that zee and jindal are not in good terms.

HI,

You must understand that it was jindal that push for First come First serve basis and not auction based. And through auction route Jindal got the coal block only 0.8% higher than floor price. It is definitely setting. Do not believe everything whatever media says

Govt seems to be on wrong track but right direction.
by Rajesh Chheda on Apr 01, 2015 01:33 PM

Arresting ones for corporate espionage is a move that is beyond debate and argument.
Vodafone bought Indian operations of Hutch without Indian public reaping benefits of capital gains made by Hutchison. Instead of hunting down Hutchison and making them to pay, Indian tax officials under UPA directions hound Vodafone. Clearly Hutch must have made payments to right people in power under UPA but nobody wants to talk about it.
Coal auctions, govt does have a right to probe cartelization but next step after finding no wrong doing must give winners the mines which it still has not done.
Approvals shares issues for HDFC, Videocon DTH are late in coming because of corrupt SEBI who never takes action against RIL for insider trading scam for which complete evidences are present. Govt simply does not have guts to take on SEBI or get it do the work assigned to it. SEBI can act against a SAHARA without complaint(because Sahara refuse to bribe) but
not again st RIL which must have used influence plus payments to stall the case.

Question mark at the end of title..?
by srinivasan Murugesa on Apr 01, 2015 11:41 AM

Rediff has always been doing mischevous articles with a question mark at the end as a disclaimer, so they can escape if , as most of its ideas, become a dud....According to rediff industrial espionage is to be encouraged for industries to prosper.Industries spy on Govt policies and sabotage the country for their own interest. Modi is curtailing it. Is it the same attitude of Rediff of writing articles to sabotage a legitimate Govt..?
