Tackling China
by Adarsh Deshmukh on Sep 24, 2014 01:39 PM  | Hide replies

After the Sino-Indian border clash in October,1962, There was no Political or Economic relations between the India and China for nearly 25 long years, till their paramount leader Late Mr. Deng invited Late PM Gandhi for an official visit to China as a sort of an ice breaker. So, for the period between 1963 to 1987 there was no much military irritations from China on the border areas. But,border flareup has only increased and magnified over the years since the interactions increased with China on economic and trade front clearly signaling to India that like Pakistan their Army and not the civilian leaders calls the shots when it comes to dealing with India on contentious matters. So, similarly India should heed to Military advise while tackling China.

The 1962 border clash with China would not have happended had it not been for some internal domestic power struggle within CCP and CMC and Cuban Missile crisis of 1962. Their leader Mao who was losing legitimacy after the fiasco of great leap forward to establish his local supremacy took the advantage of Two super powers being caught in a tussle on Cuban crisis to launch the border clash with India with Indian leadership caught in stupor.

Other than this, Chinese past military adventures except for conquest of unarmed Tibet does not have any good track record to boast about.

The 1962 Border clash with china resulted in more of a psychologically induced set back and inferiority complex for the country's civilian leadership while dealing with China.

Anybody who wants to negotiate, resolve or settle the century old Sino-Indian border issue, must go through "The India's China War", by Neville Maxwell (Jonathan Cape & Co. Ltd, London, 1970). This book as well as J. P. Dalvi's "The Himalayan Blunder" had been banned in India because both exposed to some extent, the fact that India was not the innocent victim of military adventure of the powerful neighbour as it was generally believed world-wide. Secondly, it was Chairman Mao, sometimes in 1949 (after the communist revolution), while delivering speech in front of the students of Uni. of Peking, cleared his intention that what China he had had was a 'paw without fingers'. The fingers were----Outer Mangolia, Sinkiyang, Tibet(with Laddakh & NEFA), some miner territory of Maynmar and Taiwan (where Chiang Kai Shek had taken refuge) and he wanted to posses those lost fingers. So the Chinese invasion of 1962 was not an outcome of internal party tussle nor the failure of (so called) socialistic approach but systematically conceived military plan.

No permanent foes or friends

It is country's interest must be kept in mind dealing with any country, no presumptions or assumptions regarding their characters.
China , japan, or USA all are good or equally bad , but who can benefit us most , should be kept in mind, they too look us with the same intent, it is the era of diplomacy.
Pakistan is good in diplomacy but failed the country by surrendering to terrorism and now it is known as den of terrorists.

China and US are depending on each other for financial co-operation , both have invested trillions in each-other's country, China in the form of US Bonds and US companies in China in big way, so it is foolish think that will take stand against each other beyond an extent.
Big wars are fought be country's soldiers and not be mercenaries. So be ready to fight ur own war and for sacrifice.

India should be there with countries which have technological edge ,Not with countries who wants to prevent our growth.China actually knows Japan and India are not intrested in war.Only thing china is worried about is the technological edge which India gets when we gets close with Japan and other european countries .Well China has to worry only if they want to take unilateral decissions against the UN rules.Coming to friendships Our policies are not and will not get influnced by Chinese news channels which project their leaders unilateral decissions .We dont care what china things .Well we have our own agendas and we will stick by that

Chinese are and will spoil their image very soon .New generation in India is not as tolerant as the older generation .In short Chinese are going to face Indians with the average age group of 26 years .So things can change just like that and in process China should make sure not to get embarassed.Time to roll out from treaty which prevents exchange of bullets incase of border violations .When Indians start receiving Chinese army with BULLETS things can change .

A typical indian bania mindset so far polluted indian foreign diplomacy. U can't be friends with anyone continuously. If USA suits us befriend him even it antagonise China. And Mr Chou in Lai came to India, war followed. Now Mr Xi came, the clouds of war is looming. Chinese are more mean than Americans.
