This is the future . Remember Tesla's experiments long ago . .. still techology needs to improve a lot to make wire less power transmission a reality . In the coming years we would have wirelesspower " routers" ( like wifi routers ) at homes to power all appliances. we can foregt Copper wires . Power could be transmitted from outerspace ( solar ) to earth .
Another area would be storing light directly and then using in the night through optical cables ..
