prejudice, discrimination and all kinds of raxcial harassment are very tough and are enforced very well in the US.
This is the only reason why immigrant communities - especially very different looking ones such as the South Asians - are able to get by without too much trouble in the US.
That raxcial prejudice lurks in all its malevolence just below the surface is also the biggest reason why Indians in America group together wherever they are and try to pretend that the reality of whites not preferring to have them in their inner circles does not exist.
