Not advisable
by Albert Santosh on Oct 24, 2014 10:41 AM

Use of drones in India is not advisable as our infrastructure, hanging electric wires/posts and many unauthorized constructions will lead to accidents. And it can be used by terrorists to easily deliver explosives to restricted areas, heavily populated area and pose a threat to life & property. So it must be avoided at all costs. In India there are a lot of manpower available for delivering goods . And it not safe for allowing amazon or flip cart to allow drones to deliver goods. I request this is addressed by the regulatory authority of India.

How is this accurate?
by adf asdfi on Oct 22, 2014 03:29 PM

Some times, the courier people themselves find difficulty in reaching the correct address even when constantly contacting over the phones. How will they make sure that it doesn't reach wrong hands? Will they implement this even for 'Cash on Delivery'?

Think about the immediate availability of critical medicines being ordered in real-time from nearby villages and towns, when they are unavailable locally. India has an estimated 638,000 villages. Think of the millions who die due to "non-availability" factor of medicines. (I am not talking about the expense of medicine factor, that's a totally different issue).
